Two days after placing these in my chickens laying boxes, they started laying eggs in the boxes, coincidence? I did not buy this as a toy.

I purchased these eggs as a preventative measure for when my hens start to lay eggs. I had heard a horror story about hens pecking their eggs, cracking them open and destroying the shell. My hens weren’t laying but I knew the time was coming soon. They are laying eggs just fine with no destruction. So this purchase wasn’t necessary but I will be keeping them in case my hens decide they want to brood. The eggs are very durable and very well made! They look and feel like real eggs, just a bit more heavy. I highly recommend this product!

Excellent product. Used this for the hen house to encourage my girls to lay their eggs . Worked perfect they started laying as soon as I put them in there the next morning that I had eggs. Thank you

Did the job. I put one in each nest box because my chickens were laying outside of the nest boxes in their new coop. Maybe they work a little too well as one was broody on the wooden egg (sitting on it trying to get it to hatch). These eggs are larger than my chickens' eggs and a different color, but the chickens think they're fine.
