More pure Whey than the usual protein products from competitors
Now is a fantastic organization that started locally to me (Chicagoland area). I usually get Optimum Nutrition (ON) but started reading ingredients of ON vs Now and some other major brands and decided to give Now Whey Isolate a shot. I have used there pea protein and rice protein but never whey. They sell Now supplements at stores locally to me called Fruitful Yield which are just fantastic. The Whey Isolate is not as sweet as ON but I don’t need super sweet. If I want chocolate milk I’ll make chocolate milk. This protein mixes very well with a spoon in a glass or water. About the same as ON. Both companies are local to me so they have been around for years but ON does private labeling for local gyms so it’s all over the place. Now appears to be a higher quality product and their supplements are great quality too. I have taken Now Men’s Sport Multi Vitamins for years. This prices of this high level protein is more affordable than other top reviewed Whey Isolate protein on the market and less added fillers. Now Whey Isolate is my new go to. The taste is just fine. I chug it right down anyway. I don’t want ti call it bland, it’s simply just not as sweet as ON. I’m not looking to sip and savor my post workout protein. As stated it mixes in water easily and that’s a high priority aside from it being quality and not filled with a bunch of other crap. You get more for your money. Give it a try.

This is probably the best protein powder I've come across (Do not get the 6lb version)
This (5lb version) is probably the best protein powder I've come across in terms of taste, consistency, and nutrition profile. One of the main things most people overlook is cholesterol content for protein powder. This is typically pretty high on most other products. However, this NOW Whey Protein Isolate mix has very low cholesterol compared to most brands yet it delivers a pretty high protein amount. The only thing I would change about this is the scooper that comes with it is HUGE! I cannot use it unless I'm dumping powder into a blender. For normal glasses or blender bottles it's just too big. I get the idea that all you need is ONE scoop with that big scooper but it makes a mess. Update (10/29/15): Do not, I repeat DO NOT, get the 6lb "version" of this product. Stick to the 5lb version. I recently saw a 6lb option which was actually cheaper than the 5lb option so it was a no brainer to order it. After I got the 6lb version in the mail I opened it without thinking twice after a work out and noticed right away something was off--there were little crystal like pieces in there that look almost like kosher salt. I thought maybe they slightly changed their formula up, no biggie. Then after mixing it up and drinking it I realized that this was a TOTALLY different product than then 5lb version. I was disgusted by the taste. Confused, I looked at the nutrition profile: the first thing that jumped out at me was the HIGH cholesterol content (20% daily value vs 2% in the 5lb version)!! Not only that, it had more calories, more fat, and LESS protein. What the heck is going on here NOW foods? How can you sell two different formulations with the same name and virtually the same container? Also Amazon, you cannot sell the 6lb (and the 2lb) version under the same product listing--Its a different product! I still give the 5lb version of this product 5 stars...the 6lb version I give 0 stars.

Best protein I've tried
I used to work out in high school and it's been 6 years since I've decided to start back up for my health. I'm very impressed with this brand and product. It tastes healthy, it doesn't taste fake or artificial. It also doesn't bloat you or feel too thick. It's very light when mixed with water. I bought the chocolate version, and it has a very light chocolate taste to it, not too sweet at all. It's just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. I've had many proteins in the past that had such a terrible whey taste, or a terrible aftertaste. Anyone who tells you this protein tastes bad is crazy, as it has almost no taste, you may want to add it to something for flavor. I'm just fine with mixing it with cold water and drinking it straight. It's hard to find a product without a lot of poor ingredients such as aspartame, etc. This product at least uses natural sweeter, such as Stevia and Fructose. I don't know why anyone would complain of either, they are both natural. At least your not ingesting something made in a lab somewhere. This is my protein for sure, I'll be using this as long as it's available and I want a protein supplement.

Works for the price but taste sux
Does the trick at a good price. Nothing to look forward to...I've had better tasting chocolate laxatives. 4 stars due to price. 2 stars for taste.

Price keeps getting jacked up
It's a shame because it's a good tasting, well mixing protein, but they keep jacking up the price. A few months ago it was $53 with a subscription. Last month it was $60 with a subscription. Today it's $72 with a subscription. Would love to buy as they seem to be the only one to use natural Stevia (although they do use Xantham gum and Xylitol as well), but it's just getting too expensive versus other proteins. I'll just stay with unflavored Nutricost at 3/4 the cost and add my own cocoa and stevia.

WPIらしく味は薄め。薄味と言えど、最近のプロテインの味が昔と比べ美味しくなっているだけで、昔のプロテインのチョコ味はこんな感じだったなという味である。
