Heavy duty metal and rubber seal. This was the best deal on Amazon. Exactly what I needed for my emergency generator power. Mounted it to the wall, just under a little area that protects it from the elements. Ran line to my sub panel and bypass switch. I am now ready for my next power outage. I only need to connect generator cable to this outlet. Buy this outlet if you like a metal housing.

Good quality for the cost. Easy to install

Seems to be well made and metal case feels strong. The knockouts need drilled or cut out, which is pretty standard. The installation instructions could be improved, but it's a pretty straight forward install. The plug fit snugly with the female end of the generator cord I purchased separately (4 blade, twist lock type L14-30). The rounded plug cover is made of rubber and is a bit flimsy, not like the other styles that have a hinged metal cover. But it fits ok and should still keep out moisture. I found it easier to install by removing the outer panel and plug, then removing the plug from the outer panel to install the wires. Give yourself plenty of slack/extra wire.

The media could not be loaded.  Love the price of the product. 19.99 comparative to big box stores of 70 plus depending on location. Ace in the hole to the low one.Plenty of knockouts available 3/8 up to 1.25” which is overkill but at least it’s an optionSimilar build quality to a panel made by us manufactures. Haven’t checked to be certain it doesn’t carry current directly through without scratching paint but overall very pleased with the quality for the price point. And three days to get to my door while i live in middle of nowhere. So happyThank you

This box is very well made. Quality metal, nicely finished in black. It has a rubber cover for the receptacle. Just a note: This box does NOT have the breakers of a transfer switch, just the receptacle. However, this box is a tremendous value for the price. I have seen similar boxes for more than double the price.

Overall build is "pretty good". Material is somewhat lightweight, especially the back, at 0.036". The front is pretty good, at 0.050". Grounding is to a painted surface 🤔 so if you care, you'll have to take care of that. Electrical knockouts were poorly stamped, so it was a wrestling match to get one out. During the wrestling match, the threaded insert nut for the closure popped out. But for light duty use, and if you don't mind an extra bit of hassle on the install, the price absolutely cannot be beat.

Although this product seems to be sturdily constructed, the instructions say to "remove the housing by loosening the two screws on the face of the device, and slide it over the cable". The first problem is that there one screw, not two. The face of the device has no provision to slide over the cable, as the box is completely sealed. Although the box has circular imprints, indicating that you could punch out a coin to slide the cord in, the imprints do not punch out as they do on all other electrical boxes I have purchased (which is in the hundreds). This box requires you to drill out a hole with at least a 3/4 inch bit. This is not indicated anywhere in its description, requires an additional expensive purchase, and the instructions indicate that this is not necessary as all you have to do is slide the cord into the box. There are other options for boxes of a similar type that you can ingress easily.

il y a pas de place pour les fils, une fois les fils branchés il est impossible de refermé la boite, les vis pour pour tenir les fils sont vraiment mal placé faut démonter la boite en morceau pour être capable de visée le ground et une fois le tout en place les fils ne tienne vraiment pas bien il ce déconnecte très facilement même après avoir serré les vis en fou mais bon je suis pas électricien c’est peut-être juste moi qui est mauvais mais j’ai pas trop aimé mon expérience
