Funny Story
So - funny story. I let my friend’s teenage daughter put this together for me when we used it for the first time. She didn’t read any instructions and apparently didn’t even look at the box and put it together wrong. Everyone at the party were anxiously waiting around the chocolate fountain, ready to dip their treat in it… the top fills up, then the 2nd tier FILLS UP and the chocolate starts to harden. I was so frustrated and ready to pack it up and send it back… only to realize she put it together wrong. I was too busy with other stuff to realize the pieces were upside down collecting the chocolate vs letting it flow over it like a fountain. I sacrificed my clean hands, flipped my things around and became the chocolate fountain hero. It was a huge hit at the party once we figured things out.Anyway - love the chocolate fountain. Easy to use. Surprisingly fairly easy to clean. Would suggest to melt the first round of chocolate in the microwave a little first to get things going a little faster.

Great value
I paid about $38 for this small chocolate fountain for a graduation party and it has worked great (we have used it twice). We were careful to heed all the reviewers warnings, followed directions, and we had no problems. Fountain fan for two hours straight with no issues. It was worth the cost!

Good chocolate fountain
I received the package and as I was washing each part before use, I noticed a small crack in one of the plastic umbrellas. I contacted Nostalgia to see if they can send me a replacement part but they said they don't have any parts they can send. They advised me to ship the entire thing back to Amazon and ask for a refund or replacement. I only had 5 days until the birthday party so I just ended up using it. It works fine. I read seceral reviews where the chocolate didn't flow well but they probably just didn't add enough oil. I ended up adding a little less than 1/4 up coconut oil to 2 lbs dark chocolate melts. The only con is that it gets pretty loud. I will be returning the current one for another one since I feel the crack in the plastic piece got larger after 1 use.

Great Fountain for the price
The media could not be loaded. When I first unboxed this item I was a little apprehensive. There was no instruction documentation included. After playing around with it, I figured out the correct configuration for assembly. It wasn't difficult, but would have saved some time if I had at least a picture of assembly sequence. The box says it holds 32 oz, (2 lbs), of chocolate. It does hold this amount, but if you want the flow you see in my video, you will need about 4 lbs.Assembly1. Insert the round bottom brace into the bowl. It will have stanchions that will insert over the standoffs in the bowl. Then insert the largest plastic bowl onto the bottom brace. Insert the auger inside, then attach the top round brace, followed by the second largest plastic bowl, then the third. The last attachment is inserted at the top and keeps the auger straight.2. Once assembled, turn on the heat to the metal bowl. Do not turn on the auger except if you want to test your assembly, but be sure it is turned off before adding chocolate. The unit should be level so the chocolate is dispersed evenly in the bowl. The 2 front legs are adjustable so leveling is pretty easy. The key to getting the flow seen in my video:3. Melt your chocolate,(I started with 2 lbs for first batch). Microwave your chips for 2 minutes. If using stove top.. watch closely so it doesn't burn. {Even though most chocolate I have bought says you do not need to add oil to make it flow.. I had to add a little bit of oil to get it to flow nicely.)4. Add your chocolate to the fountain bowl. Let it set for 10 - 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt more chocolate.5. Once you have you second batch of chocolate ready, turn on the auger. It will siphon the chocolate to the top of the fountain. You will notice that the bowl will start to empty of chocolate, that is when the second batch is introduced to the fountain. I have found that it is easier to add the second batch to the TOP of the fountain, a little at a time to incorporate it into the mixture. Let the fountain run. It will eventually obtain the affect you want in a fountain. It may take several minutes to do so.If your chocolate still seems too thick to make a good curtain, you can add a little bit of oil into the chocolate at the base bowl. Let it run several minutes to incorporate before using. This is not an easy clean-up as melted chocolate is just, well, messy. It is easier to dis-assemble while the chocolate is melted. The parts are NOT dishwasher safe, so only wash by hand. There is a small plastic washer that sets around the shaft the auger is attached to. It is easy to lose, so be careful when dumping left over chocolate as it is just sitting around the shaft. I assume it is to keep the chocolate from going down into the unit, (there again, no instructions, so only guessing). While this takes a little more work, both to set up and to clean, I would still recommend this unit. The joy that guests got from using it was well worth the effort. The only CON I can really state is the lack of assembly instructions and perhaps operational use. Otherwise, this was a big hit at 2 Christmas parties in 2023.

Fun party piece for adults and kids alike!
Excellent fountain - purchased it to use for my daughter's grad party and it was a hit! It does take about 10 minutes to get heated, so allow for some time. It is easy to use (make sure you use enough enough oil in your chocolate mixture; 1 Tbsp at least to every cup of chocolate chips). I use a mixture of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips (brand name works better than not).

Fun while it lasts
This was a fun centerpiece for my Halloween snack table. Sadly, the fun didn’t last for too long because the chocolate doesn’t stay heated long enough to continue flowing smoothly. It was relatively easy to set up, but the functionality isn’t too practical if you want more than just a picture/video and 5 minutes of use. Was also not fun to clean up, although leaving it to soak for a couple days definitely helped.

Favorite dessert at highschool dance
Worked for highschool dance for 70 students. Favorite dessert! Favorite dunking item - strawberries. Placed it on a covered box for height. Noise of fountain was NOT noticeable after festivities got started. I purchased 5 lbs of chocolate as recommended in other posts. Cleaned it up while still warm. If you are away from your kitchen, Have a small bottle of vegetable oil to thin chocolate & be ready for clean up just after you use. Clean up: Need something to put melted chocolate in (I threw it away after being used for 4 hrs.), dish soap and bowl to put fountain pieces in after most of the chocolate is rinsed off.
