Great snacks and healthy

The overall flavor profile is a little different and not nearly as many nuts in these since they changed the recipe and the name went from Peanut/Nut Bars to "granola bars" and it is because there are less peanuts and now more oats. Still tasty with high quality ingredients and a sweet treat without a ton of calories. Just a little surprised when I ordered and the box graphics and colors were the same but then looking at the name and ingredients they updated the product. Most likely in response to ingredient costs and such.

I love these Nature Valley sweet and salty peanut granola bars my favorite snacks per day. I eat two packets per day that gives me the salty crunch I need daily. I recommend them to anyone who needs this type of snack bar.

I love to temper chocolate, so I cut these into little tiny cubes and drench them in 72% Guittard Soleil de Coucher chocolate. That allows me to have a delicious bite of chewy, peanut enrobed in the most perfect dark chocolate I have found a temper, so far. Don’t be daunted by the idea of tempering Chocolate. It only takes a minute in the microwave and it’s super easy. Just in case you’re interested, here are directions: Take about 2 ounces of dark chocolate and divide it into thirds. Put 2/3 into a small Pyrex or ceramic dish, or measuring cup. Nuke for one minute on a lower power level, like six or seven. Stir the chocolate. If it hasn’t melted completely, you can nuke it at 10 second intervals until the container feels warm and the chocolate stirs into a uniform smooth mass. Take the remaining 1/3 of chocolate and divide into two equal portions. Stir each one into melted chocolate until it gets combined. With a small teaspoon or appetizer fork dip each piece of the sweet and salty bar into the chocolate and put it on a piece of wax paper on a baking sheet. Put them all in the fridge until the chocolate shell has hardened. Store in a container in the refrigerator and enjoy every little bite. Of course, you don’t have to make them so small you could make them bigger. I just happen to love little bites. That way I get to eat more of them
