AutoFloorGuard Heavy-Duty Garage Containment Floor Mat for Compact Vehicles, 7’9″ x 16′

I bought this garage floor mat after I was done with a massive rearrangement of my workshop/garage. Not a lot of space in there so I’m forced to store some stuff like plywood and various lengths of wood on the floor. That brought its own set of problems, so I went ahead and bought this to protect my investment in material. The mat I bought is the larger one. It fits nicely into my wife’s half of the garage, and it is sturdy enough to lie flat with out all sorts of glues. This mat has one other big benefit, and that is protection of my garage floor from Winter road salt up here in upstate NY. Salt is an enemy of concrete. If you let your vehicle just shed its load of Icey snow build-up onto your garage floor, you’ll soon discover that the combination of road salt and gooey water will eat right through the toughest concrete you can imagine. This mat takes care of that problem nicely. It has raised buffer material all around it, making it a little dam, and getting rid of excess water is a breeze . Just take the included squeegee and push the water out of your garage. It’s a good product, and my concrete etching days are over. Try it.

We purchased our AutoFloor Gaurd containment mat 8'6" x 20' in 2017 for my Lexus Rx350 and it is the perfect size in my opinion - mat to spare in the front and the back of the car as well as along the sides. Now it is Nov of 2019 and we recently added another garage and the first thing my husband said when it was finished was, "I need one of those mats under my truck like the one you got a few years ago." We live in Colorado and get plenty of snow in the winter. Our garage floor isn't quite level and without the mat, for years, when the snow and dirt would melt off my tires it would create a literal pool of water on our garage floor. Then the floor became so slippery that we would go out the front door through the back side of the garage just to avoid a possible slip and fall each winter morning. It was a nightmare. This mat is a lifesaver and now we are ordering a second one. Aside from all that it is durable, super easy to clean and move around if I need to. It doesn't have one single rip or tear in it after using it every day for two years. The sides are rolled up just perfectly to catch every drop of water/mud/dirt/whatever you get on your tires. We drag the mat out of the garage every few months and hose it down and sweep/squeegee it off and then drag it back into place. WE LOVE IT!

Pros: It is very easy to set up and it is easy to squeegee off, although I use my big garage squeegee not the small one provided. The small one works great, I just like to get done faster. When I had a big job with tons of mud to remove, it was very easy to sweep the big chucks off and very easy to move the whole thing outside to clean properly. It tends to stay in place for the most part and it is SO MUCH BETTER than trying to sweep winter muck off the garage floor!!! The material is really tough and I haven't had any risk of tears with my squeegee or moving it or through regular use. Cons: The Velcro doesn't work well - hard to make that work on cement. So I just anchor the 4 corners and 2 sides with rocks and it does ok. I don't think I really even need those although it will eventually inch forward and might need to be pulled back a bit every now and then. Easy to do. I would like to have higher sides. I get a LOT of frozen slush in my tire wells where I live and the melted gunk doesn't evaporate or soak in like it does with cement so you have to kind of watch the level of water if you get a lot. Easy to take care of with the squeegee though. What I would love to see is a weighted and taller rim. A weighted rim would remove the need for Velcro, although it would be heavier to move. A taller rim would hold more muck. For most people in the nation, this is probably perfect! I just happen to challenge it to the max by where and how I live. Like I said in my title, it's not perfect but I am still very happy I bought it and would recommend it.

Very happy with this purchase. Contains melting snow and rain water well. Perfect size for my car and garage. Protects my garage floor and belongings from excessive water and salt in winter. I decided not to use the included corner adhesives so I can drag the mat to just outside the edge of garage to squeegee water out to driveway. It is surprisingly easy/lightweight to maneuver despite it's size. I can easily pull the entire mat a few inches to edge of garage when full of water/snow and easily pull pack in after squeegeeing out water. This way, no water gets on my garage floor at all. You can keep in place w/adhesive too and just squeegee water out in place but a little water will get on floor edge that way, which is still way better than the amount you would have without the mat. Highly recommend for snowy/wet climates.

Great item! Have had this quite awhile now and is very durable and helps keep our garage floor dry. I park my suv over it and it's absorbs quickly and dries fast. It's 11-18-25 and ours has been driven on daily, my pit bull uses it to jump in and out of our SUVs for traction, and parked riding lawnmower on it. GREAT BUY!!

I bought the 7'9" x 18" mat in 2016 and it's still in great condition. It has contained all the messy snow, salt, and sand and kept my garage floor clean. I drive in and out on it daily during the Michigan winter months and the foam barrier has kept its shape. Also, it doesn't slide as you drive onto it. I'm going to purchase a second, and I'm hoping it will be the same quality. I'll update soon.

Love it, catching the snow melt and mud run off instead of going all over the garage. I did use the velcro that came with it to hold it down on the floor, really don't think it was necessary and probably going to wish I hadn't, time will tell. The squeegee is nice that comes with it albeit the handle isn't very long. I bought a second one for my husbands truck, XL, the bumpers on it are even larger. Really well made.

I bought this to help preserve the concrete floor in our garage. Years of melting snow/ice with road salt from our Minnesota winters has started to degrade our concrete and cause spalling issues. I like that the raised foam edging captures the melt water and contains it. So far, the melt water has evaporated and not required further removal, but our wet/dry shop vac should make cleanup easy if it really starts to pool up. It seems like the material is durable enough to last several years; though only time will tell. I'm not real impressed with the "mounting system" of 4" squares of adhesive backed velcro to stick on your floor and mat. Even after cleaning my floor with brake cleaner and rubbing alcohol, the adhesive pads aren't sticking well to the cold concrete. Nor are they sticking well to the cleaned back side of the floor mat. Seems to be staying in place well enough to do the job for now; with minimal bunching as my wife drives in and out. The product may be five star worthy; but the method to adhere it to the floor could be better. Thus I deducted one star. NOTE: When wet, this floor mat is VERY slippery. Watch your step.

This is a good quality product. The only reason I did not provide 5 stars is because I have only had it for a month; I don't know how long it will last. However, all indications are that this is a durable, well-made mat. I have never bought one before, so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. But after having parked my truck in the garage after a snowfall, and water spreading all over the garage, I needed a solution. The material is heavy gauge, the lip seems high enough, and it holds a lot of water. It was packaged well, had good instructions, and even came with a squeegee, which was both a surprise and essential, as I have no idea how I would have gotten all that water off the mat. The only thing I did was attach a longer handle. It came with some adhesive pads to adhere to the garage floor to help keep it in place, but I didn't bother. No adhesive is going to stick for very long to a concrete floor and the mat seems to stay in place. Yes, the mat is still wrinkled, but I couldn't expect more since I installed in December here in Ontario when it was 0 degrees celsius. A little pricey, but so far seems worth it.

Bought to protect garage floor. Does the job!

This was a purchase for my husband who just had his garage floors nicely epoxied. He wanted to keep them clean from snow, dirt and salt from our nasty Canadian winters, and this product has done the job well! And it comes with a little squeegee that works great. The ONLY feedback we have is that a longer handle on the squeegee would be appreciated and useful, especially folks who struggle with back issues.

Like: material seems durable....contains water well. I'd been looking for this solution for my garage for a long time! Dislike: comes out of box very wrinkled. Took some effort to get flattened and spread out properly. Used a wet vac to clean up water as squeegee doesn't work great. Overall I am happy with the product. It keeps salt and water from running over to walls and contains the mess

What started as a great product, shortly after the return window was over, turned to just a rag on the floor. It is a good product if you live in a city and use only all season tires. Being out in the country in northern ontario where we have real winters, it doesn't stand a chance as we have to run studded tires and it turns this mat to shreds even if I'm extremely careful on it...no spinning the tires or turning the wheels without the vehicle in movement. Therfore the title of heavy duty should be removed and just be call tough.
