Q: How many 4.0 oz candles can be colored and scented with this package?

You can color about 200 (strong color) 4 oz candles and make 4 scented candles.

Q: Can I use these for soap

Our wax dye and fragrance oils only for candle making. We don't recommend to use it for soap making.

Q: How can I get my black wax to come out black instead of gray?

Add more dye to get the desired color. Depending on the type of wax, the colors may finish differently. Paraffin and beeswax may exhibit the most bright, vivid colors while soy wax and other vegetable waxes may have a more subdued color.
