This is the third one I have, and it works very well.One of few cases when you do indeed get what you pay for.

has automatic brake
use to load 340lb electric wheelchair on to carrier works well but would advise have a high RPM drill with socket instead of handle works m0uch faster the one I use has 900 RPM.

WG1500 not designed for strap
This is a great winch but it is not designed for a strap, it is for cable only.
