I have to admit at first when I saw this mount I was wishing it was level and not offset. Once I grabbed my video camera I was happy the mount was offset as it does give more flexibility. The left side (the higher side) is what goes over my video camera housing and is where I mount the shotgun mic. The height gives me the flexibility of moving the mic so it targets the sound. Depending on the length of the microphone this cant be done, I have an Audio Technica atr 6550 and without this product I cant get the microphone in the "sweet spot". I also have an Azden SM10 that I use occasionally. In short the added height does help.I have a Panasonic HC-X920 I use weekly for YouTube videos and a Panasonic TM 900 at the office I use for training videos. In both instances this mount is helpful for the shotgun Microphone and any other gadget I want to hook to my camera.The cool thing is there is a stop on the back side of the shoe to help the item from sliding out.The base took little effort to mount and it is not in the picture. its about 1.25 inches tall and can be twisted to get proper direction. The construction is made of some steel that will hold up to just about any weight a camera and tripod could support.What you get in the box is the 1 year warranty and a cleaning towel.For $10 its a great mount

Eynpire Camera Triple Mount Hot Shoe V Mount. I was looking at camera accessories that would accommodate a light, microphone and monitor or perhaps two lights on top of my rig. I wanted the device to be small enough to break down and set up easily as well as being compact. Well, I found it with the Eynpire Triple Hot Shoe Mount.Whatever you decide your rig arrangement will ultimately be composed up? Fixability is going to be a must! And, the ability to change out your configuration is only going to save you time, money, and of course frustration. So, do yourself a favor and don't run with the herd who only wants you to go broke so they would look stupid all by themselves. There motivation is to have you waste your time and money like they did listening to fools who have money to burn.However, you don't have to "sell the farm" to enjoy photography /Videography if you'll spend a little to learn a lot! Because, no matter how much money you spend it's not going to cause you to be any smarter! Having said all of that, you won't be disappointed with this Triple Hot Shoe Mount because of its durable material build and its small "footprint."Oh, and by the way at this price point? Get real!! You can easily spend more on the taxes on items you don't or didn't need.

After buying an Azden 3 channel audio mixer and needing to use it with two wireless mics, before I knew about this product, I went to Tap Plastics and bought a small plastic blue box and a lot of Velcro at my local Ace Hardware to affix the receivers and Azden audio mixer on my Canon G-30. Although it worked, had I known about this product earlier, which is under $9, I could have saved myself a lot of time to get a more professional looking solution that takes up less space in my camcorder bag. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is I think it should be slightly larger with the left side extending slightly more for my professional L.E.D. supplementary light. It says hot shoe light, but don't think it fits on my back hot shoe on my Canon so it had to go up front, but maybe I'm not getting something right there. Again, it is a good solution to a problem when you start to get several accessories and certainly is a bargain price.

This is made pretty well. It is strong and unbendable whatsoever. In the past, I've placed a Pocked wizard transceiver on my camera's hot shoe with a Canon 580EXii on top of it. I always felt I was risking damage to the hot shoe. With this setup, it doesn't seem to create the leverage needed to easily damage the camera. I've put an ESDDI 176 LED light and a Neewer 7 inch video monitor on it and it seems pretty safe. (Of course, you still need to use caution not to bump it very hard and damage the camera's hot shoe!)My only reason to knock it to a four-star rating is that I had to use a needle nose plier to slightly widen one of the hot shoe mounts to fit accessories into it. No big deal really.

I used this to mount a couple extra lights and a microphone for a night shoot at a car show. Works well and turns heads, which is always great for the camera. Really no complaints.If I could suggest any one thing, it would be just to make the center mount's space a little wider, maybe by an inch, so that a larger recording device can be mounted in the middle. Putting the heaviest, largest object in the dead center of the mount promotes balance amount the equipment and makes holding everything easier when the weight is evenly distributed.Still well made, usable, and I love it!

If you need a portable battery operated LED light, or monitor and use a shotgun microphone Shure VP83 this is one easy way to accomplish that. Made of metal used for photography. Strong it will hold what you want to slide on to it. The accessories slide easily on. Just tighten with lock ring on the component. The Left side is as you see higher, this is where I put the LED light, higher up and slightly to the camera left. On the shorter right side I put my Shure Lens Hopper. The mic, although sticking out in front of the light, there is absolute no shadow cast on the scene.
