## Description

The ZorbO oil scum absorber is one of the most significant advances in hot tub & pool water care in years! The amazing hi-tech material in the ZorbO actually absorbs up to 15 times its weight in inanimate oil scum and lotion residues out of the water, without soaking up the water itself. Yet it does so without the use of chemicals or hazardous ingredients, and lasts for months. The elimination of oil scum means a more enjoyable spa. You'll have cleaner, clearer water, while using less chemicals. Floats in spa or pool. Be sure to keep a spare ZorbO on hand.

Review: Would buy again! - I clean cabins daily and this has been a life saver for helping the waters stay clean. And keeping all the oil or iron off the walls of the hot tubs. Depending on if you have city water or well water it depends on how much you need to change them. But as of now I’m not changing them but every 3 to 4 months.
Review: Works Well But Doesn't Last Long - I purchased two and dropped the first one into the tub after a complete empty, clean and refill. This worked like a charm for the first 10 days....water crystal clear, no foam, etc. After about 10 days the scum absorber was floating below the surface and I noticed little flecks of the material floating freely in the water. By the time it was in the tub for 2 weeks, it was shot. Does it work? A resounding yes...short term. For the price, I would like to see it last at least a month, though.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do you keep them from floating in and getting stuck in the filter cartridge intake? Always end up there in my hot tub.**
A: they do hang out in the filter intake area ,but i like it that way. It absorbs so the filter stays cleaner longer in my opinion. That area is where we get the most "gunK" build up.

**Q: I received my package today. It only had one absorber in the package**
A: Should be 2

**Q: Does it capture algae?**
A: It doesn’t capture anything to be honest.

**Q: Are these cleanable and reusable?**
A: No you leave them in and throw them away when they get dirty. They last for months and work great. My came in a 2 pack so i have one ready to throw in.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally, something that works!
*by K***R on May 26, 2026*

A little pricey but really the only thing I’ve tried that actually work and takes no maintenance. Bought a 2 pack about 6 months ago. My hot tub is used daily and using 2 in a 620 gallon salt water system helps keep scum off the inside perimeter between water changes. Once it stops floating it’s time for a new set. These things are small but absorb a lot. They attract and collect all the bad stuff. DON’T WASH OR WRING THEM OUT. You’ll destroy the outer layers. Drop them in and forget about it, simple!
