This is a typical silk tie with an interlining that gives it a firm shape and makes it easy to tie and dimple. The width is about average--not thin, but not bulky either. The finish does have some shine, but it's slight and depends on the angle of the light. No obvious problem with the stitching so far. All in all, it's a good tie. Probably in the $35 to $50 range in a department store. I would suggest better packaging--a rigid piece of cardboard--because it's easy to crease silk in shipping and hard to get the creases out.

Gorgeous. Royal blue was a little darker than the picture, which is perfect. It arrived in a plastic sleeve with a hanger, to prevent creasing and was shipped in a padded envelope.Texture is superb.Back of the tie says John Williams, 100% silk.

This a really nice, hefty seemingly well made tie. A bit wider than expected, but very nice. I was disappointed to finally open it as I was dressing for the event for which it was purchased, there was a long diagonal crease across the front bottom of the tie. I had no time to do anything about it, so had to wear it, and now have some beverage spots on it, so a return does not seem likely. I have it rolled up now, hope I can flatten the sad looking crease.Update: I have worn the tie 4 times now, and the threads on loop that holds the back tie in place have broken. I am not confident that this tie is as nice as it looks, and that it will fall apart.

Good quality - thick material. Arrived folded & had to iron it a lot to get the wrinkles out. Was hard to get them out without turning the heat up to much. A steamer prob would’ve worked better. My son is about 6’2” - 6’3”. He has a long torso and we had to tie it multiple times to find a length he was comfortable with & he still thought it was a little short, he has a 15.5”-16” neck. We prob could’ve gotten it a little longer. But there wasn’t a lot left to work with. All in all, it was a great tie, worth the money & would defiantly purchase it again.

Excellent handmade ties I only wish they came in more colors. I have black I got the red for my daughter's wedding I'm going to get the realm royal blue. They lay very well.

The tie is just ok and that's because when i measured it i see it's a shade under 3 1/2 inches. I'm not one of those guys that looks goods in those narrow shoe string tie. As for the texture I hoping to find a smooth silk finish. I however like the knot when it's tied

This was a gift for my friend. He loved it! It was one of the nicest ties I’d ever seen. I’m inexperienced with ties and I am glad I got this one! It was lined and pretty hefty compared to other ties if seen before. Plus the red color wasn’t crazy bright.

I bought this tie for my husband. It is a beautiful tie and definitely of good silk; the burgundy color was just a bit bright for the shirt for which I bought it. Reluctantly returned it. Kept the black one just like it. Fabric thick enough to keep shape and look great. Also like the over 3" width.
