NICREW Submersible Aquarium Heater 150W, Fish Tank Heater with External Digital Controller, 110-150L

Works absolutely brilliant in my 112 L tank. Easy to control and adjust. The only downside would be very bright light, but i pushed it behind decoration and its not that bad anymore.

Nice little compact design which I like and is different from the tube which can take up a lot of space. My plecos would hug the large tubes for heat. They don't do it with this design and gave settled in and around the tank. It does take 24hrs for the thermostat to settle and the heat reading matched the mercury thermometer reading. Let's see if it lasts. 24/12/20 This is a follow up to the above. I had high hopes for this little heater but it's packed in after 6 weeks. Sending this one back and bought another and hoping I won't have any issues. 12/01/21 - I've now had the replacement for few weeks and it's still working. However the temperature gauge is not accurate. I had a mercury thermometer beside it which read 21c when set at 24c and I had to turn the small heater up to 27/28c to bring the temperature up to 24c. Although a nice little compact design I doubt I would purchase this item again. 13/02/21 :- item now leaking, sending back and will not replace with this item. Poor!

Easiest heater I've had something n terms of set up and ease of use. Chuck it in, plug it in and set your temp and leave it. Couldn't ask for more. Great little product.

We was very happy with this thermo controll. But 6 months usage, somehow the switcher blowed up, and bith part melted away, left this. So at the moment we have no temperature controll in the Aquarium, and I will look something else, because not possible to buy every six month. Customer service not contacted yet, i will update what happened.Ps. The switcher not close to any wet , always dry around. Mistery the roasted screws.

Placed heater in tank 30 mins before switching heater on set it on 25c. It warmed tank up but kept switching off, I then changed the filter flow to point at the heater and after about 2hrs temp stable at 25c. All happy so far but seems to need a very good flow of water through it, so if you can point your pump straight at heater

Using in 125L community tank, temperature very steady and true. Easy to use, plug in, set temp and away you go. Digital read out prob a little too bright but hidden behind planting so not too distracting. Would recommend and certainly buy again....in fact thinking of replacing my other two tanks for the same.21/Jan/21 EDIT: have dropped to 2* from 5* which is very disappointing, unfortunately unit just stopped working so have returned....great looking unit but unreliable as was showing correct temp but after noticing lethargic fish and using 3 digital and one glass thermometer temp had dropped to 18 and wouldn’t reset 😕

I originally purchased the 100W version by accident and it wasn't man enough to heat the tank so i purchased the 150W (more than adequate for the size of tank). I still, however, had problems with it heating the tank and it never became stable in temperature. The final straw was after a couple of months when I noticed my turtle was lethargic and it was at 10 degrees lower than what it was set to! I would not trust this product and i think it is dangerous for the animals. I am lucky my turtle is more resilient than fish and i noticed in time.

This is a good heater, nice and compact. I knocked a star off for two reasons. Firstly, the display is very bright and there's no way to turn it down. It really stands out so I hid it behind a plant. Secondly, it sometimes gets stuck right on the cusp of the temperature it's trying to reach. So, if, for example, you have it set for 25c, it will flit between 24c and 25c every five seconds or so, and the light will switch from red to blue every time with a loud click. Do stop it I just move the temp up or down a degree. This doesn't happen often, but is annoying when it does. However, this is an easy to control, small heater.
