Don't buy. I threw them away fast !! They came in wish some weird subsance on them.

I know "Duh" right? But I don't mean "costume" fake I mean I gave these to my nieces for dress up because I would be embarrased to even wear them as a part of a costume! Go to goodwill or buy true costume jewlery - not these!

Great with a costume or for decorating, they are relatively inexpensive while adding a unique touch.This product features 12 mm beads which appear much larger than what you might get elsewhere for a comparable price. They are sold in a strand with a total length of 48 inches. The beads are attached to the strand allowing you, if your project calls for it, to cut the strand to be longer or into sections. My mother collects dolls and after cutting this strand down, I was able to make several necklaces for many of the dolls in her house. You will not mistake this strand of pearls for a real thing. It is clear even from a distance that these are not real pearls: they have a visible seam running all the way around, and the surface of each bead is not totally smooth. However this product is clearly described as "fake" pearls and so their appearance is exactly as advertised. This is costume jewellery. The strand is 46" long and each bead is 5mm (3/8"). As I held them in my hand I had a few small pieces of the pearlescence left in my hand. I included an example of a little chip in my video.I own faux pearls and wear them quite often. However these I would only wear as part of a costume because they would not dress up a real outfit. For a youngster they look ok but not for the very young ones. I would be a little worried that the pearlescence would comes off in case they would put it in their mouth.I received this strand of pearl flapper beads from OverLordToy for review with a request to share my honest opinion of this product. This strand is good as costume jewellery and the product is true to its advertising. I am rating it 3 stars (okay) based on the accurate product description. First, let's be clear -- these are NOT real pearls, nor do they look like real pearls. But since the second word in the item description is "Fake," you should know what you're getting from from the start. The necklace is being sold as a toy (and I had to affirm that I'm over 13 in order to post this review), and that's exactly what I think it is. As part of a child's dress-up box, this would be a fun piece of play jewelry.The "pearl" beads themselves are very white and shiny, and the necklace is about 48-inches long. That's not really long enough for an adult flapper costume, but it's plenty long enough for a child. The beads are clearly plastic, but they feel nice and make a nice clacking sound when they rub together. I would have loved this thing when I was a kid!My biggest complaint about the necklace is really the price -- it seems high for something that's clearly a "dollar store" item. Any kid worth her salt will want a bunch of these to play with (what's the fun of one?), and that can get pricey.This is a decent play-necklace that's priced a bit higher than it needs to be. Nothing special, but young girls should have fun with it.

I was asked to review this product for an honest review and I'm glad I accepted.There are several things I noticed about this product. The Flapper Necklace is very well made. Each bead is bright and rather shinny, definitely drawing attention to it. The beads are very secure and it appears they would not easily come off. My granddaughter and I tried the necklace in different ways. I wore it as a long necklace, she doubled it up and wore it shorter. Both ways it looked good. I also wrapped it around my wrist and it made quite a nice bracelet. However, I think this would be easier for younger people to do who have smaller wrists than most woman would have. This necklace is perfect for Flapper Costumes, giving it just the right effect, or to be given as a fun gift to someone for any occasion. It also can be used to brighten up any outfit for a little bling. Nice product.
