Great fabric but be cautious on size
The "size chart" needs to be corrected ASAP!!According to box the thermals arrived in, SMALL is 28-30, MEDIUM is 32-34, LARGE 36-38, XL 40-42, 2XL 44-46.Size chart on order page states Medium is waist 34-36 which is not same as box at all!! Fortunately I have son's who can wear the medium ordered for Dad but I have to reorder a large cuz medium I'd thought was 34-36 is incorrect! Beware!

A good choice for those on a clothing budget
I'm not going to discuss sizing. These leggings are off the shelf, while everyone is custom made. So ultimately there is going to be a range of satisfaction as far as fit.I will compare the Duofold leggings to superwash merino leggings you can get from other companies. Those pure merino leggings typically cost two to five times or more what one pair of Duofold leggings cost. However, the pure merino leggings tend to be heavier, thinner, warmer, longer lasting, and faster drying.Another advantage of pure merino leggings is that they wick perspiration away from the body and have the peculiar trait of not smelling even after long use. What can be said for the Duofolds then? For me, the lower price of the Duofolds is a big factor in their favor. And even though the merino content in these Duofolds is a fraction of the total material in the leggings, still, that minority of merino manages to pull beyond its weight so that the Duofolds do a decent job of wicking away perspiration and insulating the legs, have the advantage of minimal odors after extended use between washings, dry relatively fast after washing, and are not bulky. All in all, given a budget of about $60, I'd rather wear three layers of Duofolds than wear one layer of pure merino leggings. That works for me for suburban activities.People going on days long outdoors trips might want to go for the pure merino leggings, though.

Purchased for my husband.
We have bought Duofold long johns for years, but these where weird, they started out fitting just like his other pairs, but as he wore and washed them a few times they shrunk up in the legs to the point that they are more than 6 inches shorter than they started. I'll include a picture of me wearing them, but it's worse on him.

Wonderful Cotton, super comfortable, I wear them all winter long in Ohio!
It had been really hard for me to find cotton longjohns. I wear these in the winter in Ohio just because otherwise I’m always freezing my butt off. I wear them under my dress clothes and really wear them all season long. Cotton is the way to go to be comfortable and it is so hard to find longjohns that are cotton.I’m not sure if it’s 100% cotton on the inner layer but they Feel very comfortable soft and outstanding quality. You definitely need to buy one size larger than you normally would buy.I Purchased medium and they were pretty tight for me and I am 5 foot eight and then.I then purchased a large because I can use to pair for sure. Our use the tighter ones when I go skiing. Feel very comfortable soft and outstanding quality. You definitely need to buy one size larger than you normally would buy.I Purchased medium and they were pretty tight for me and I am 5 foot eight and then.I then purchased large because I can use two pair for sure. I'll use the tighter ones when I go skiing. You definitely can’t go wrong with these!Yes they are more expensive but totally worth twice the money as I am sure these will last a very long time.Enjoy!

Shrinks a fair amount!
Here are measurements of the medium sized bottom, before and after washing/drying on low heat. Before: overall length 40", width across hips 18"After: overall length 37", width across hips 17.5".Waistband at rest is 31".If contemplating a medium, compare above with a garment that fits well.Feel of fabric is very soft and light, altogether quite comfortable. Seems warm enough for normal daily outdoor activities in 30 to 40 degree weather.I would encourage others to post the before/after washing dimensions of articles of clothing they review. Much more useful than statements that it shrank up to one's knees etc. etc.

Nice material; bizarre fit.
I love the material, but I have no idea why they cut it in this manner. The waist is perfect, but the crotch is way too big and low, and the legs are short. I don't know what kind of creature these were designed for, but they probably have fur already and are thus not in need of thermal underwear.

Feel nice, UPDATED REVIEW
I just received these pants. I purchased them for my husband. He works in the cold all day.. It has been below freezing here. He has not gotten the chance to wear them since I just received them. But I will update this week! but I took some pictures to help those interested.UPDATE!!It has been a few months now and its finally warming up out. My husband loved these soooo much when it was below freezing here. He drives a fork lift in a building that has open doors on all up and down the whole building creating a draft. We tried the long johns from walmart and other places.. but they were just made of cotton.. these on the other hand have wool in them as well. Helps block the wind and keep the heat in. We couldn't be happier and will be buying more for next winter!

Great fit, great look, functional and effective
I bought these for myself looking for a higher-quality thermal-type undergarment for the really cold days. Lo and behold, I did myself a favor. Throw away your itchy/crappy/falsely warm cheap thermal-type underwears and invest in these. They're comfortable, the fly is accessible, and the fit is good. For sizing, I'm a bit odd, because I have a huge butt and a 34 waist, despite only clocking in at 5'9" and 180lbs. These sit comfortably on me, and a medium was definitely the right size choice for me. There's enough material at the top and bottom so that they're just really comfortable to wear. I like lounging in them too, although I do close the blinds because I'm worried what my neighbors would think.

Comfortable Long Johns!
I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now. Considering that I bought them with double layer feature, my legs are so warm even in cold weather and they are not itchy at all. There appears to be no loose threads, which is great. The quality is also great. So, I think they will last a long time. It is a good idea to buy two pairs, so I can wear the second pair while the first pair is being washed and left to dry.

They don't last long
I bought a pair of these and did not even lasted me 5 months. I took care of them and washed them by hand only. The material started to tare at the bottom and they lost the elasticity around the waist. I had to throw them out. Save your money and look for something more durable. A positive thing that I found about these thermal pants is that the material is soft and it feels nice on the skin. They are somewhat warm and they are very comfortable. Durability wise, they are not long lasting.

Really comfortable
I ordered 2 prs and they arrived today. Fit is comfortable for the size I ordered. They are very similar to military issue. I liked them so much I ordered 3 more prs tonight. The suggested price on the box is $34.99Remember they are long underwear not leggings, don't wear them shopping. :)
