Empire 1.7 Litre Rapid Boil Kettle, 3000W, Midnight Blue, T10052MNB

Great kettle, the colour and design is lovely, it's light and easy to handle, boils fast and is not any noisier than most kettles, this one is smaller than my last kettle, which to me makes sense, it holds the same volume of water so looks less chunky, a bonus in my opinion. What I do really like about this kettle is the fact that it doesn't spurt out hot water after it's boiled, my last one did. The length of the cable to the socket is good too and it wraps and balances well around the plate to keep the cable secured.

I immediately opened the box and read the instructions, pulled out the filter followed by filling and boiling. It is easy to fill either by spout or take off lid, I plugged in and turned on. It boiled a litre so fast. I repeated as instructions, but this time with a mug full only. It took seconds. I hadn't even put in the coffee powder and it had boiled. It looks good too, and as I have arthritis in my hands I need to hold in two hands. I found it easy to do . My only gripe is the removable filter,. It is flimsy, really flimsy. Compared to my old tank er kettle that is. I took it out to see how it goes back in. Answer: with difficulty, but that could be my hands. It is really thin and is held by the tiniest plastic pin. I use those old fashioned steel fur grabbers in my kettles, so it won't matter too much if I break that pin, but I'll be very gentle with it and descale with lemon juice often too, just in case. Would I buy again knowing about that pin? Yes, it's so pleasing to see it sitting on the counter top, I'm thinking of buying the matching toaster.

Have had this kettle for a year and it’s still like new even with using it multiple times and day. There are no chips out of it. Great kettle

This is a lovely stylish kettle and bought it to go with other black and gold items in my new kitchen. Worth paying slightly more than I paid for my last kettle, which I hadn’t had for very long and dribbled and leaked. It pours like a dream, no leaking, also very quick at boiling the water. Highly recommended.

This looks ok but power plug is not Aus standard. When sending here the plug should meet the requirements of the country.

Delivered with a English plug not suitable for Australia, bought from Amazon Australia.

I ordered the set of jars and kettle. The kettle is didn’t even work. I followed all the safety use steps and the the didn’t turned on. I need to return and need a refund.

Plastic and did not last more than few weeks

I was not able to use this item as the plug is made for UK plug sockets.
