It takes a little patience getting used to it, but it is just a great watch overall.

This watch gets me a lot of attention, sometimes too much. It's a great conversation piece. People be like "I love your watch" and I'm like " yeah everybody loves my watch". I usually have to proceed with answering many questions consisting of "how do you tell time?" or "is that wood?" or "where can I get one?". It probably stirs up more conversations than a $6000 Rolex would. If you like meeting new people, get this watch. Wear it on a first date to break the ice. Wear it to a job interview and that job will be in the bag. Want that promotion, gift one to your boss. This is the perfect anti-smartwatch, give them to your kids who are entitled to $500 apple watches for some reason. Watch them figure out how to tell time on it. It's not easy to read, but you get used to it. My only complaint is the quality, particularly with the band. They don't last all that long, and I've been through a couple of them. But the one I have right now has been holding up for longer, so maybe they have improved?

I bought this watch to commemorate an event which occurred rather recently. I was with some friends in the park and pointing out directions when a sparrow landed on my extended hand. Being a rather robust fellow and an oil field worker, imagine my surprise at being called a “Disney Princess” by the comedian in our group. I saw the name Bobo Bird before I had even looked at the watches, and decided to get a wristwatch from this company to counter any future assaults on my masculinity. My intention was to use the timepiece like an Uno card. Uno, for those of you youngsters is a primitive game from the days of antiquity. It was often sold alongside the game Twister, which was a form of color-coded yoga that simulated sexual foreplay. These games were not meant to be played simultaneously. Anyways, imagine my surprise and curiosity when I discovered this oddity of a wristwatch made of wood. It made me wish that my grandfather, a self-made man who often whiled away the hours whittlin’ on the front porch were still alive to see it. Of course, the old racist wouldn’t have appreciated the unique style as he lacked the social refinement to appreciate such subtle nuances. Or, for that matter, that all Asians weren’t “Chinese.” A point I had to make several times whenever I brought my wife with me to visit the Ol’ homestead. But, I digress... The watch appears well made and has an excellent finish and the band is both resilient and comfortable. It came wrapped around a little pillow that reminded me of hemp: a substance also known for its resiliency and ability to make the time pass comfortably. It also came with instructions in an quaint little envelope that made me feel, well... like a Princess. Five stars for an awesome watch and for helping me to appreciate that side of myself.

I love this watch! I have a very small wrist of 5 inches, but this Watch still fit and looked good. I had to make an extra hole so the strap was a little tighter. I liked how I could still tell the time within the five minute increments as the dot move slowly in between each circle. I was a little concerned about the strap replacement because I haven’t seen any like this on Amazon.

I collect watches so I already have many kinds of watches but I don't have a watch with a wooden case and red and black dots in place of hands. Until now. I like this watch so much that I have already ordered another (more conventional) from this seller.

Lots of instructions unrelated to this watch-face are provided, which is the bane of information providers these days i.e. when you can't provide real information just pile up with irrelevancy. (Even Amazon does it: when a book is not available, instead of saying we don't have it, Amazon puts up list of other books it knows about). Having said that, those of us who grew up with analog watches will get the hang of it in no time! For example, in the analog world the hour hand (black one) moves away from the hour as soon as the minute-hand (red) starts its journey. By the time, the minute hand has gone halfway, the hour hand will be quite visible in the new slot and not at all visible at the old slot. So if you're looking at the face at 2:50, the black mark will be more or less at 3 and the red one at the 10 position. Ideal for really seeing what's going on an analog face for the 4-6 year old.
