Yeah, but you might struggle. It’s not a smooth job.

Q: does it has variable speed?

Yes, it does have variable speed and the speed increases the further you press in the trigger. However, there is no means of setting the maximum speed and the trigger lock will only engage at full speed. That means the “variable speed” is little more than a gimmick on this drill. Tried using it as a power screwdriver and it doesn’t work as well as my old drill, which could be set to a low speed, high torque for that use.

The drill is 710 Watts. Not sure about the 450 part. It's got plenty of power for normal household DIY including drilling into brickwork - which is what it's really meant for. Good kit for the money.

It is a hammer drill. And a very good drill it is too. Where I struggled with my old drill this one is like going through butter. Very highly recommended

Hammer it home

I bought this to replace an old cordless hammer drill which had packed up. Had to get used to deal with a cord but apart from that for the price I am very impressed with this drill. It's done every job I've asked it to do without a problem.

Good quality corded drill

The media could not be loaded. Really impressed with this drill esp for the cost. Used it for drilling bricks to put shelving up and was no problem. Feels good quality and seems very well built.Only slight negative is you have to take the handle off to put it back into its case but as I will only use occasionally its not an issue for me.Really like the long power cord and keyless chuck.

Side Handle.

Didn't like .cannot put back into case with side handle on.My old B/D , i can put it back into the case without taking the side handle off.See photo of my old B/D.I also did not like having to Press a Button to hold the Chuck from turning when putting in a drill bit.THE Chuck should be Self Locking when it stops to interchange drill bits just like my Cordless B/D.
