"Show Me the Way to Go Home" could have been the theme song for the fourth "Trek" TV incarnation, in which Captain Kathryn Janeway and her crew are left stranded in a distant section of the galaxy and undertake a perilous journey to find their way home. Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Roxann Biggs-Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill, Robert Picardo, Tim Russ, and Garrett Wang starred in the 1995-2001 UPN series. Special collection includes the boxed sets of seasons one through seven of "Star Trek Voyager."172 episodes on 47 discs. 130 hrs. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English; photo gallery; featurettes; interviews; outtakes. Review: An amazing presentation for DVD - One of my favorite Trek series. Just started watching and so far so good. Because the special effects during a certain time were done on video it is very expensive to make a bluray version. Next generation cost Paramount a fortune to convert to HD, so DVD it is for "lesser" series. The good news is the picture is fantastic. Part of it is my 4k bluray player. Color is rich, great detail, even on material as low as two megabites a second. But they've done a lot with DVD lately, as much as they could manage without going past spec. If you want great looking DVD my sugestion would be a decent 4k bluray player, even an inexpensive one would help. Until tech fixes the problem of video special effects effects heavy material is going to be DVD. If you are a fan of such material get a 4k player. The picture I'm getting off of this set is fantastic. Review: glad to have VOY - First, the physical DVD set. Just like with my sets of TNG and DS9, the packaging crams two disks on each peg. I’ll need to get a separate case to keep the disks protected from damage. Second, what’s on the DVDs. The description lists no bonus features but it has good ones the take you deep inside the creative process. Third, the show itself. I view it as the truest successor to TOS, right down to the shows’ inconsistency: when it’s good it’s amazing and genre-defining; when it’s bad it’s WTH-were-they-thinking terrible. Janeway is the most Kirk-like of the captains to that point (Burnham has all of Kirk and Janeway’s negative qualities without any of their positive ones), balanced well by Tuvok. The Kes-Neelix relationship is NOT okay and the show got better when it was over. B’Elanna and Tom have my favorite Trek romance of the franchise because they’re both so good for each other, providing a stability neither of them ever had. Tuvok and Seven have my favorite friendship of the franchise because of how quickly and completely they accept and respect each other personally and intellectually. One of the most beautiful moments in the show if not the franchise is in “The Raven” when he puts himself at risk to connect with her and shows such profound compassion for her trauma response. Instead of scorning her display of strong emotion, he tells her it’s logical to respond that way. The Doctor has a fascinating story arc and along with Jeri Ryan provide serious acting chops to VOY. The writers and Robert Beltran failed the character of Chakotay. I wish the show had done better with the new alien designs and ship designs (we’d have to wait for ENT for that to happen). But they sure stepped up with the Borg, showing a deeper and more nuanced perspective that enhanced rather than diminished the threat. And they did a great job with how scary and fascinating species 8472 is. I want more of that, and hopefully we’ll get it in Prodigy.

Needs new case
These are wonderful dvds but the case for storing them is awkward and may damage the disks. I recommend you purchase a binder and dvd sleeves.

I really love this series and finally decided to buy it. The price was too good to pass up.

Grainy Television Broadcast Quality
After watching NextGen remastered and TOS remastered on DVD, this newer series Star Trek Voyager series comes across as grainy on modern high definition televisions. I write this review as the brand new voyager DVD skips on my region free Sony DVD player. For the most part the DVD pack is good but I think I paid double the price for Voyager as I did for Next Gen or TOS... both of which were higher quality. It's good. It's just not great.

Not a bootleg
You may be wondering why I would begin by saying that. It's because I have encountered fakes before. Around 2010, I bought all 7 seasons of Voyager on DVD from a Goodwill store. I was more concerned with all the discs being present than whether or not they were legit. At the time, it never occurred to me that I might be buying fakes. But once I got them home, and I started examining the discs, and the wording on the covers, and yeah....they were straight up Chinesium bootlegs. Logos slightly off, plot summaries read like they were translated from English to Chinese, to Klingon, and back to English. And at least one of the discs was defective. Then, the whole set was lost several moves ago. However, THESE appear to be the genuine article....unless the Chinese bootleggers have seriously upped their game. Some other reviewers have complained about the packaging. Some discs being loose in the cases and whatnot. I'll have to add that some of the discs in MY set were loose as well, but none of them were scratched. I'm not really a big fan of these cases, but it IS an ingenious way of fitting 47 discs in less than 6 inches of space. Not that it matters to me, as I keep all my discs in big CD/DVD folders. So for me, the whole series takes up about half an inch. Anyway, that's not important. Some other concerns from other reviewers had to do with the 4:3 aspect ratio on a modern wider screen. It appears that the picture is slightly stretched out to fit the wider screen. BUT, when I adjust the settings on my TV to try to get the original 4:3 aspect ratio, there's not much difference. I get maybe a half inch black bar on the sides of the screen. For me, it's not that big of a deal to bother messing with the normal settings of my TV every time I want to watch some Voyager. Anyway, that's my 2 or 3 cents worth. As always, your mileage may vary.

STAR TREK VOYAGER DvD (2020)
Asunto arreglado!! En Resumen: Servicio Excelente, Producto Excelente= Cliente 100% Satisfecho.

TV Series From The past
Noted scuffing on one disk that had come loose either at the manufacturing or delivery level. Light buffing may fix issue. Please handle any DVD's with care. Remember that one damaged disk will ruin the TV Series.
