Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum

Cross-graded from Cyberlink Media Suite 12, and what a tremendous boost to productivity. Cyberlink was really slow at handling videos and clips - agonizing in fact. Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum is absolutely blazing fast on a three-yr old machine with only 8GB. The interface is intuitive (although in fairness, it's likely intuitive because I've used Sony CD Architect for years). The only issue I've had is that it evaporated while writing out the audio stream for an HD movie I was assembling from an HD camera several times. It turned out that Bitdefender Total Security 2015 somehow detected something in the audio stream as malicious, and "dealt with the threat" by killing Sony Movie Studio. My advice there - disable your proactive virus detector software while writing out DVDs to disc to avoid the issue.

Most of the reviews for this product conclude that it is difficult to use.I would agree somewhat with that assessment, particularly for those who have never used such software before and are looking for a one-click-and-done solution. Prior to purchasing this I had been using Nero 2015 Platinum which was easy to use, but was buggy and produced horrible results. My focus was on converting video tapes to DVD and the MainConcept MPEG engine included with Sony Movie Studio is highly acclaimed for rendering the best possible video output. Note that this is the same MPEG engine included with Sony's more expensive Vegas suite and with Adobe Premier, but at a fraction of the cost.Sony includes lots of nice features in Movie Studio (if you can find them) such as the ability to set levels and perform color correction.Movie Studio and DVD Architect are 2 separate programs which are both included in the Platinum edition. DVD Architect can be tedious to use. It doesn't use a wizard and there are lots of settings and incomprehensible error/warning messages to deal with, but you can create a decent menu based DVD after coming up to speed.I would suggest that potential buyers download and install the fully functional (unlike Adobe Premier Elements) trial version and use it for 30 days before purchasing. Then, buy the boxed DVD here to get the activation licenses; no reinstall necessary.

I really good video editor that installed and activated without any issues. The Platium version that I purchased also includes the "DVD Architect Studio" software but the activation code was missing for that software. I spend an hour plus in the phone with Sony customer service but never did receive the activiation code. Without this issue I would have given this product 4 or 5 stars.

I’m very satisfied with this editing video software of Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum I’ve videoed my son‘s wedding recently so far the editing of the video is working out perfectly & no problem with the software. I’m using the advanced editing process & it doesn’t seem that complicated to use with many options . I tried a bunch of other popular video editing software on trial in this price range and I picked the Sony movie studio 13 platinum over all the other software products.

Amazon, do I have to give it a star to review it? I am a long time Movie Studio user and always thought it worked pretty well--never perfectly, but good enough for me. I upgraded to 13 because I have an important project to finish for a retirement party tomorrow and I figured it was time. Nothing but trouble since. Software hangs during editing, preview and rendering. I cannot render to any format. Keep getting an out of memory error. Went to Sony's tech support and followed instructions. At this point I have uninstalled and reinstalled to a new administrator profile. I won't tell you the user name for the new account, because it's not appropriate for all audiences. Now I am in the registry editor. Really Sony? After 13 versions you don't have it right? I CANNOT IMAGINE BEING MORE DISAPPOINTED. By the way, I am tempted to call tech support, but it's fee based and the thought of giving these guys another dime nauseates me. If you make good software I could see paying for tech support. For this, they should pay me. While I was trying to get this to render I reviewed other video editors. Looking forward to trying something else. Goodbye forever, Sony Movie Studio.Update: Never got it to work. Uninstalled 13 and reinstalled Movie Studio 11. Had to re-do the entire production from the start. Got it done in time, but Sony owes me for at least 10 hours of wasted life. Not a debt I ever expect to be satisfied.

Si, ya sé que existe Audacity, pero segun entiendo no soprta los dirvers ASIO, por lo que las grabaciones que hacía se escuchaban algunos clicks aleatorios en la grabacion realizada. Con este software se puede grabar a 24 y 32 bits (punto flotante) y haste 192KHz. Las caracteristicas de la tarjeta de sonido, son las limitantes para grabacion. Si se quieren hacer grabaciones de calidad, este es el software adecuado.

great software for editing videos and making other videos, lots of features, have used it to make just about all of the videos on my youtube channel. I don't find the buttons and interface to be unnecessarily huge like some have reported, the finished quality is excellent and limited to a combination of your recording quality, your Computer, and the amount of time you spend on the video in recording, editing, and rendering, up to 4K resolution but your more likely to be recording at 1080.

Buen programa, fácil de usar y completo aunque ya es vieja la versión y uso el Vegas pro 16, este está bien para empezar a editar videos con buena calidad y con aspecto profesional
