This gauge was purchased to confirm my current foot size because having recently purchased a pair of trekking boots, I found that my usual size seemed too small. However, this gauge confirmed my foot size and prevented me from sending these boots back! So, I am delighted with that and due to the robust design, this gauge is likely to be used regularly in the future.

So when we first used this we were sat down and it seemed to always underestimate our shoe sizes by one size but we realised you should stand up to do this and then it's really accurate.I'd give it 5 but it is difficult to keep it still on hard floors and the slider is a bit too loose and can move if tilted.It'd be better if it had rubber feet but I'll just us a couple of blobs of blu-tac instead!!

Very useful, not only due to lockdown but with sensory issues taking our kids shopping for shoes isn't always a walk in the park. This allows me to check size at home then I can buy shoes that might meet all their criteria without enduring the difficulty of actually having them in a shop.Trying on of shoes at home is much more convenient for everyone involved.So far measured the adults to what we would expect. Children's feet had grown, new shoes purchased in new size fit well, so seems to be accurate. Definitely easy to use and for us was value for money as we can use this to ease many more shoe purchases as their feet grow.

The item arrived later than expected so went to the shoe shop. Shop measure me at a UK 9. The device measures me at an 8. (Yes I am reading it correctly through the little window in plastic slider). I checked the measurements on the device using a tape measure and referenced them against the Mondo point scale UK and IMO the measurements are not accurate through many of the sizes. Not good enough!

I bought this to keep an eye on my 5 year olds feet growth. She's currently a child 9 and it accurately reports this. However I'm an adult 5 and it shows me as a 3. I can only gauge the measurements lose accuracy as they go up the scale. Should hopefully work for a few years for my daughter so may keep it, but wouldn't recommend.

When I read some of the negative reviews, I had doubts about placing an order. Nonetheless, I wanted to give it a try. It was accurate when I tried it on my family.Those negative reviews were reading from where indicator ends, not from inside the box where the small arrows points the correct size.
