Good photo paper as always

The difference between the premium and ultra premium is weight. The print side seems the same and prints the same. This is thicker than the premium. I use these to print for a showcase and when the printer is dialed in, the colors are rendered nicely. With a pigment printer, I get the known specular glare issue, but it's not a problem for viewing, especially under glass, and it's only noticable if you tilt it to catch the specular glare. For the fine art stuff, I tend to print matte, so that's the way to go for the very best images, but this is 99% the quality in a glossy image that is good for printing and handing out.

I have an Epson Eco Tank printer, and I wanted to scan and print some old family photos. This Epson Ultra Premium paper is great. It is heavy weight and produces fantastic results. Epson also makes less expensive photo papers, and they produce very good results, but the weight of this paper makes it worth the extra cost. All the Epson photo papers are formulated specifically for use with the Epson inks. Don’t believe advertisements for third party inks and photo paper. The printer manufacturers go to great lengths to match paper absorbency with their OEM inks. So, I highly recommend you buy your photo paper from the same company that made your printer. I can’t write this review without also commenting on my Epson Eco Tank printer. Before I bought it, I used to buy off-brand ink to save money, and I regretted it every time. The Eco Tank printers use a lot less ink, and refilling the tanks from ink bottles is very economical. I have had my printer for over five years, I have printed several thousand pages without nozzle clogs, and I am only halfway through my second set of ink bottles.

This is best for fine and beautiful photos just like you have on your phone. It has a great texture and the color is just beautiful. I will buy again and again.

I was afraid of the photo quality before the purchase. It turns out to be much better than my expectations. I don’t need CVS anymore. Lol

I love the results of this paper with my new Epson ET-8500 photo printer. But the instruction sheet's fine print is rather disturbing. The unused media must be sealed up and stored away in a cool place. It must not be exposed to light due to discoloration danger. The finished (printed) media must either be stored similarly, or, if displayed then must be mounted behind UV-absorbent glass in a sealed frame. I made conventional B&W prints as well as Cibachrome color prints for a number of years. Obviously, the unexposed media must be kept in total darkness. However, the finished product stands up to ordinary display quite well. So, modern digital media has taken us a step backward.

For years I have used non-oem ink and paper for printing photos on my Epson inkjet printers. Recently when I was out of a couple of sizes, for the first time I decided to splurge a little and buy genuine Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper GLOSSY in a variety of formats (4x6, 5x7, 8.5x11). I literally could not believe my eyes the first time I printed on this paper compared to what I was accustomed to with the high quality non-oem papers. The brilliance of the image, the glossiness, and the overall color rendering was incomparable. The difference is so apparent and I'm so sold on the quality that I will never skimp on photo paper again. Actually, I even brought the few hundred sheets of 4x6 non-oem paper to work that I still had and gave it all away for free. If you want to print your own photos on your Epson photo printer that rival or even supersede the quality of having the prints made at a retail store then this is definitely the paper for you!

Easy to use, prints great, I have an Epson ecotank and these turned out perfect! I've printed probably 20 so far and it's such a great value. I love being able to print from home and make sure the color is perfect and no wait time at a store!! Will be purchasing more in the future, it's the best size for cards and I'll be printing a lot come holiday card time!! Don't hesitate to buy!

I had some leftover HP glossy photo paper so I printed my first pictures with the Epson 8500 and I must say, they came out as bad as with my old printer. Was not impressed. At that time, I had already ordered the Epson glossy premiums and they were waiting for me to be done with the old before using them. When I finally got to them, OMG the INSANE difference in quality was unbelievable!! Details, colors, GRADIENTS.... It is absolutely, totally true that this paper makes all the difference. So happy I switched to Epson. Ordering more because I'm finding reasons to print anything now.
