For my long (6 inches below shoulders) blonde fine hair, I can use just one clip to twist my hair up. It is fantastic in a pinch to wash my face. I even use them to wrap around my hair for a quick pony. They stay put on me, no movement or falling out. I even lift weights and do cardio with only one it. So they work for me. If you have really thick hair, you may want something a bit bigger. These also do not scrap my scalp or pull out my hair.
