Tommy Hilfiger Men's Slim Fit Poplin Shirt

The online fitting instructions were very accurate and helpful. The shirt fits very well. I got the red one, for use at Christmas parties. The colour is attractive.The material is 100% cotton poplin weave. So, it is a little hard but it looks strong and durable, although I am not sure without more washes about the colour, i.e how well the color lasts or whether it fades in time and become less attractive (as red colour non-synthetic fibres often do). As common with cheaper shirts, the seams wrinkle up after washing, especially around the shoulders (where the sleeves join the body) and at the two sides, apparently due to the double stitch seams in those places and apparently due to some shrinkage of the threads used. I am not confident the shirt will look so great over time as a result, even though it may last well (as in wear and tear). So, I will wear it only for those special occasions when a red shirt is needed, but not casually. Other than those wrinkled up seams, it is easy to iron. So, not bad, but nothing special either, given my expectations due to the price and the famous brand.I noticed from a label on the shirt that it was made in Indonesia, and not China as stated in the description on Amazon. In fact, the picture shown by Amazon actually has Indonesia, if you look carefully at the collar in the enlarged photo. I did not know this at that time, so it is also my fault. I would not normally buy goods from Indonesia due to some personal beliefs and preferences.

In my never-ending search for the perfect slim fit dress shirt, I decided to try this Tommy Hilfiger slim fit shirt in white. I have an athletic build with pretty broad shoulders (but not super muscular) and got the 16 1/2, 34-35 shirt. I was not expecting a lot going in, but this is the best fitting slim fit shirt I have worn. It's tapered better through the torso than other brands I tried and I don't have a bunch of leftover material I need to tuck in. The sleeves were also trim, which was very nice too if you don't have body builder arms. This is in comparison to CK slim fit, Pronto Uomo (Mens Wearhouse brand) slim fit, and Brooks Brothers slim fit (but I haven't tried their extra slim fit yet). With that said, the TH shirt wrinkles very easily. The material is very thin, almost papery, and not very soft. I found that after a short time during the first wear, it was noticeably wrinkled, especially at the elbows and the waist. If you are planning on getting this shirt, be aware that you will be constantly ironing or taking to/from the dry cleaners. For the price, I think it's a great product and you could buy multiple to have something ready on had. Still not the perfect shirt (so my quest is not over), but worthy of a try if you're a slim/athletic build guy.

This product gets 3 stars but barely. At full price I would probably give it 2, but 50% off is making me charitable. For starters, the spread on the collar isn't quite as wide as pictured when the shirt is worn. The fabric is quite thin, even in comparison to other poplin shirts I own, and definitely requires an undershirt (though you ought to wear one anyway). My biggest gripe is that the fabric has an amazing propensity to wrinkle. I mean even bending over to tie your shoes is liable to leave a couple of transverse lines running across your stomach all morning. This isn't much of a problem when worn under a jacket, but I avoid wearing it otherwise. The fit is more or less as expected though the sleeves are slightly short. Bottom line: even at $35, I would hesitate to recommend this shirt, as there are much much better options for just a few dollars more (Charles Tyrwhitt, for example); that said, in a pinch this is an acceptable alternative. Do not buy this item at full price.

I bought a 15.5&32-33 one , size is perfectly for me.But the material feels really not so comfortalbe and the shirt is hell thin, I have to wear a white underclothes to hide my nipples... LOL...Anyway I give 4 stars for its unbelieve cheap price, I will tell you that the price of this shirt in China is 150 dollars or more.(Amazon.com cannot recognize Chinese, I've tried my best to write this English version review.........hope this will help! )

It fits very well and looks nice. The somewhat thicker fabric looks higher quality and the wide collar is classy. 4 stars because it wrinkles easily, which was a bit of a bummer since I haven't had that issue with Hilfiger shirts before.

I bought this shirt for my husband (6'2" and 195lbs). Hoped it would be a bit more fitted, but it is definitely much better than his regular fit shirts. He likes it, and so do I. We're still looking for the perfect fitted shirt...

I have a need for a white shirt that could go well with suites and have a good collar for a tie and still look good without; the cotton is quite good and overall I'm very happy with my purchase; this is my third shirt and dry cleaning hasn't effected the quality Or the size ; I wear this quite frequently and with no complains

This shirt is not slim. It is a regular cut shirt. My husband is 5'11 and 155lbs and a trim runner. This shirt swallowed him on the sides. Evidently Tommy H has a style called "fitted" if you are trim that is what you are looking for. The fabric is nice and is certainly competitive with a Brooks Brothers and at a much better price. I expected slim to actually be slim.

En la descripción de la camisa no dice que es Slim Fit, de la cintura me queda muy bien, pero del pecho me queda apretada. Valdría la pena que se especificara que es Slim Fit.
