I always prefer to use these pens, I've used them for many years. My preference of color is blue. They provide a heavier line of writing that is clear and easy to read. I do bookkeeping, and these pens make what I write show up better. They are no frills pens, but they are durable and do a good job. I think they are comfortable enough to hold, not too bulky, not too skinny. The ink flows good, but the only thing is that it sometimes take a bit of scribbling to get it started.

I've been using this 12-pack of BIC Cristal Xtra Smooth pens for the past couple of weeks and they're exactly what you'd expect from BIC - reliable and consistent. The 1.0mm medium point writes smoothly without skipping, and the ink flow is even throughout. I appreciate that they actually live up to the "extra smooth" claim compared to regular Cristal pens. Great value for money - 12 pens at this price point is hard to beat, and they last a surprisingly long time with daily use. The classic clear barrel design lets you see ink levels, and the blue ink is vibrant without being too dark. Perfect for note-taking, office work, or just having around the house. My only minor gripe is that the caps can come off a bit too easily in my bag, but that's typical for most ballpoint pens. For basic writing needs, these are dependable workhorses that I'd definitely buy again.

These are the pens that we used in the 1960's for school and everything else. They are good pens with their own fame for having been the go to pen for all writing. Back then there were no Pilot, or gel pens and they were not needed. And, if you wanted something a little more expensive with good writing qualities, there was Papermate. With Bic pens though, (the pen of pens as far as I am concerned), nothing else was needed. For school kids it is the best because of how well they write and how economical they are. The only down side is that it is so easy to lose the cap. But, C'est la vie.
