The system arrived in very sturdy and well organized packaging. The camera quality and performance is top notch. My son had purchased a different system a few months ago and was very impressed with the quality of the Lorex system. I am very pleased with the sharpness and clarity of the cameras and system. The angle of view is excellent. This was a big investment and I am very satisfied with the quality. I can recommend Lorex without reservation.

Remarkable performance overall. I'm very pleased of the amazing coverage, clarity, notification settings options, night vision, and recording capability; purchase price not cheap; however, the price is worth/reasonable based on the quality of the product; I definitely recommend this camera security system 100%!

Edit 2 months later: The hard drive error I mentioned that I wouldn’t be surprised if came back...Well, as expected it happened again. Wasted a lot more time making calls to customer support to be told time after time for their “solution” to do factory reset. Well, finally got to point where that didn’t “work” (always was very temporary solution). They are finally supposed to be shipping replacement unit, looking forward to it’s arrival and hopeful to finally have a semi-functional system. If I can just get basic functionality of video and able to playback if needed will be very happy at this point. With my previous experience and reading other reviews, not expecting to ever be able to setup specific motion zones (hence making where won’t be able to use motion alert functionality due to constant alerts from traffic on streets that has to be in full field of view of cameras to get needed coverage). Additionally have only had one call to customer service out of many calls where their phone was clear. Many times almost impossible to talk due to static and drop outs in their voice. Never have issues with my phone when on other calls, only with Lorex, so feel certain can say it’s on their end.Original Review: Problem after problem with this Lorex system. Purchased as second system for business with better resolution. 5 year old Samsung system still works great, wish would come close to saying same about this new Lorex system. Not sure quality of image any better either. Hard drive errors were first encountered problems, after multiple calls finally moved on from this problem (wouldn’t be surprised if had that problem again tomorrow though). Now trying to work through latest different issues, barely over 4 months from purchase now. Basically useless majority of the time, thankfully it’s not only system in use.Have never got motion zones to work, but honestly least of my worries with this system as it is not working at all majority of time.

4K picture quality is amazing…The phone app works great…The talkback function, lights and field of view is excellent.I absolutely love this security camera set, also recommended it to a couple people and I’m so glad I didn’t settle for the cheap stuff

Love the set up procedures, easy, and quick, The color is awesome, night vision is very good. The wider view area than the previous camera system is a definite bonus. Setting up the motion areas is a little challenging, trying to not respond every time a car goes down the street.The only complaint is only one person, using the app, can view the cameras remotely at a time, and we have to share the account, so only one email address and/or password, wish at least two people were able to view the cameras and get alerts from the system without having to use my user ID and password

The user interface is not the best but the technology is solid. The microphone is a cool feature and allows you to talk to varmints stealing bird food. I caught this bandit and used the speaker to say "Hey Racoon!" He didn't know what do think. lol He jumped down and left, only to return every night to feed for hours.I got the 8 camera system at the right time because the cost has gone up over 46% since Dec 2021. I got the NVR, 8 cameras and cables for $750. Thanks Biden.

I've had this for 3 years and it works perfectly. Plug it into a battery backup and you are protected in any situation it works any where in the world.

This is a pretty good camera system. Install was easy because we already had the wires ran from an old security system. I like that we could easily add more cameras to cover every angle of the house. The picture quality is great. The night vision is very clear. There are a few cons to this system: 1-there is about a 5 second lag. For example, I was watching someone come to the door and by the time I saw they reached my door on the iPad they were already knocking. 2-only one person can be logged into the app at a time. We have the app on 3 devices- 2 cell phones and an iPad. The iPad stays on the wall and we like to run the app on that all of the time. But there are times we need to access it from our phones. The app kicks off the iPad and you have to log into the app on your phone. For some reason Face ID doesn’t work well for logging in. This is by far the most annoying thing. I would like to just be able to open the app without having to enter my username and password every time. 3-the app takes about 3-5 seconds for the feed to refresh.I’ve read other reviews that mention the 1,000,000 motion detection notifications but I have that disabled so I can’t say how accurate it is.
