Are the bristles of this shower brush soft or hard? I want a softer one.

The brush had two sets of brushes. Soft nylon bristles on one side can gently massage your skin, and hard bristles on the other side can exfoliate your skin.I found the soft brushes great for soaping down and the stiffer brushes did a good job of scrubbing down. I love mine.

How doyou prevent the handle from getting black and mouldy, as our last wooden one did?

I have had my Back scrubber for two months and it is the same as when I bought it with no trace of black or mould.. I follow the following routine. After use I shake the brush and hang it up in the shower to let to let any water left drip. After about 10 minutes I hang it up next to my heated towel rail to fully dry out.
