Jules Destrooper Almond Thins, Caramelized Almond Cookies, Kosher - 3.5 Oz

I love these cookies/tea biscuits! The only thing is they get crushed during shipping so your first two cookies are crumbs.

These were well packed and only a couple cookies in some boxes were broken. This is a big plus, since these cookies are very thin wafers and, consequently, fairly fragile. Aside from this, the cookies are just what you'd expect from the Destrooper name. Delish!

I am torn by this and has taken me a long time to review. On one hand, these cookies are delicious - amazing with a cup of tea in the mornings. Having been unable to find them locally, I was happy to see them on Amazon. Not the bad side. They arrived at my house in tiny pieces. I literally had to eat them with a spoon. It was not the packing. It was the fact that these are SO delicate that there is absolutely no way that they can be shipped to consumers. I have no idea how they arrive at retailers in good condition, but normal parcel service cannot deal with these. I feel awful for the producer as they are a wonderful product. The only solution I can see is that they are made in an increased thickness. And that would possible reduce the "feel" of them. Good luck figuring this out. I would be a happy customer to see a solution.

I had these for the first time when I was a guest and instantly I had to know who made these cookies. They are crispy with a crunch, buttery and flavorful. They are very thin. Try them, you won't be disappointed. The only down side is that you will find broken one in the box. But they still taste great. I have been known to dump a handful of crumbs into my mouth (and even the crumbs pack a crunch!).

Lovely little cookie. Very thin and crispy. Just sweet enough. Great with coffee tea or cocoa.

Quintessential European treat! Fabulous with tea and coffee! Rich flavor with no chemical aftertaste. However, whether it is the transatlantic shipping to the distributor in New York or it is an Amazon shipping issue, these delicate wafers come as crumbs. Personally, the crumbs are worth it, but I really love the wafer. Unfortunately, I am unable to use them in presentation and formal teas. As one reviewer has already noted, changing the product to accommodate shipping would change the experience. My question: Would Jules DeStrooper consider a different form of packing/packaging? Is there a way to get them outside of Amazon that would preserve the beauty of the wafer?

Tasty cookies. I would give it 4 stars. They came completely crumbled. I prefer the Trader Joe's almond thin cookies.

The product is fine. The problem is for the second time I ordered and paid for a case of 12 boxes of cookies and for the second time I received one box of cookies. The first time my case of cookies was sent after I informed Amazon of the issue, now I sit here with a $33 box of cookies. These cookies are my favorites but they are not worth that price. Please send my case of cookies and fix this error in your order processing so that I can feel that I can order more cookies in the future without this hassle.
