It takes a little time at the outset to figure out how the lock, catch and template fit together for installation but once out get used to it, installation goes quickly and seller includes extra adhesive strips in case you make a mistake or two. Locks are invisible from outside of cabinet but installation kit includes small semi-transparent sticker to show you lock is installed and where to hold magnetic “key” to unlock. You have to open door while key remains I in contact with cabinet door for cabinet to open. We purchaed two extra magnetic keys, so we could keep one in kitchen and one in each bath. Keys have adhesive and magnet, so can be hung anywhere

The media could not be loaded.  I do not have a child, but I do have nosey cats who won't stop getting into my cabinets! These worked perfectly! I have not had to install baby locks for almost 2 decades, so it surprised me by how easy to install these were. I set aside an hour to install them all, but once I realized how quick and easy it was, I ended up video chatting my friends to show my amazement! Still only took me maybe 15 minutes to do my whole kitchen and bathroom! They do have the option for screws, the adhesive sticker is strong enough for my cats, but I don't know about a toddler since I do not have one. They do not provide the screws though.

We purchased two sets, and have used most of one so far. These are fine, but we’ve had to do a couple of unexpected things to make them safer.-if you drop the magnetic key, it *will* come apart in three pieces (two plastic parts, and the magnet). This is a big deal, because the disc magnet is a choking hazard, and could be really dangerous if swallowed (and stuck). A tiny bit of superglue on the seam of the plastic parts keeps the key from coming apart on subsequent drops. When we took out the second key, I purposefully dropped it to glue back together. I think these pieces should come out of the factory glued and secure.-some of the pieces don’t adhere very well, especially to the painted plywood edges that frame the cabinets. This has meant buying very small screws, and using a drill to secure the latches in place, (especially where babies can get into sharp things and poisonous chemicals). It would be nice if some screws were included.All in all, these are “okay”. If you’re prepared to make those couple of reinforcements, i would definitely recommend them for the price.—-One small but significant gripe: there is supposedly a way to keep these latches unlocked when you choose (“off mode to allow permanent opening”), so the lock won’t engage when you close the cabinet door. Not so. It does not work. If it did, I would be sure to buy some for both sets of grandparents, to lock only when we visit. As it is, they automatically lock no matter what. Oh well.

First and foremost, these locks were super easy to install. But as some other comments also expressed, after dropping the magnet keys once, they broke. I don’t consider this to be a deal breaker though, I just taped them back together and they still work fine. The only issue I have had is that sometimes the locks seem to get stuck and I have a hard time opening the door. I don’t really know what happens, I can hear it unlock but I can’t open the door for a moment. Weird. Other than that, these are great for the price!

So unfortunately the magnet didn't work unless you were exactly lined up and got lucky... its wasn't consistently working for us which is extremely frustrating. We missed the return window ( toddler life). So now we're throwing our money away. We went with the Maisie brand which by far is worth the higher cost hands down.

Like these locks and purchased two packs. I was about to return them because I couldn’t figure out how to disengage the lock in order to have them open freely, but someone explained to push the latch down pretty hard and it worked! Awesome. Easy to attach, strong.

I have a problem with my cats opening my cabinets and bought these hoping they would help and they work great. Easy to install and keeps cabinets closed and cats out of places they shouldn’t be. A little tedious to keep the magnets around to open any cabinet but you get used to it. Also easy to replace if you need to move them since they give you extra sticker backings. Great for keeping out cats and babies alike.

Toddler won’t stop emptying out the cabinets? Pulling out your hair? Fast and easy to install. Extra adhesive for when you mess it up. Works great for drawers too. I was not paid to review this product. I’m just a dad that can finally relax with my crazy daughter not being able to get into stuff
