A sensitive look at people and cultures
I loved the book because it went beyond a surface look at people and cultures while acknowledging one's own biases. The writing is lyrical and one gets drawn into the writer's fascination of different cultures and yet taking the time to understand people and looking at the humanity in people.A very worthwhile read.

A must read..
Just amazing!!! While reading the book I felt like I'm traveling along with Nandhini. Very well narrated. It was generous of her that she shared the photos. Also, the contribution of medical professionals in people's life is also well cited.

Great work.....
Amazing narration of a totally new Africa by Nandhini . Brilliantly described the life of African people and the continent, contrary to my belief . Really inspiring to read the voluntary work and hardships in the field of health care . Nandhini and Mani deserve all the appreciation for their contribution.....great work....looking forward to your next.......Rashmi

Travel writing, truly explored
The perspective of Africa from the point of view of my dear friend Nandhini, is remarkable, shattering the myths about the dark continent. Well written yet lucid, the book details the various social, cultural, professional aspects of the lives of the Physiotherapist couple Manikandan and Nandhini, in a perfect balance. The passion for their profession is evident in every part of the book. Nandhini and Manikandan have not only explored the African cities but also have presented the beautiful unknown facts about the country. 'The Rainbow Continent',is indeed a colourful representation of Africa. Wishing the budding writer many more explorative travel memoirs. Happy Voyaging and Writing 👍👍

Lifelong worth of Experiences in a book
I loved reading my dear friend's first book. It is always refreshing to learn about a continent that you haven't been too, that too from someone whose perspective is different from stereotypical descriptions! I honestly think this book could have been split into two books....one with the cultural, social and living experiences in Africa ; another with specific case studies involving pediatric patients. It is a good read! Loved it!

A Must Read!
One of the best books I've read in a long time! As an avid traveler and international volunteer myself, the only downside of this book is that it's now added several new destinations to my bucket list. This is absolutely a must read for anyone into travelling, international development, or really anyone who enjoys people!
