Perfect tool for tracking real progress! I’ve been on a fitness and weight loss journey for the past few months, and I realized that the scale doesn’t always tell the full story. That’s when I decided to try the RENPHO Smart Body Tape Measure—and honestly, I wish I’d bought it sooner! The setup was super easy. It connects right to the RENPHO app, which I already use with my smart scale, so all my measurements are in one place. The retractable tape and locking mechanism make it simple to use even when measuring myself—no awkward fumbling or guessing. I can track my waist, hips, arms, thighs, and more in just a few minutes. What I love most is being able to see actual body composition changes over time, not just a number on the scale. I’ve already noticed small improvements in my measurements, and that’s been incredibly motivating. The build quality feels solid too—it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy like other tape measures I’ve tried. If you’re serious about tracking your fitness or body transformation, this little gadget is 100% worth it. It’s accurate, convenient, and makes progress feel measurable (literally!).

I reluctantly bought another one of these as the first one stopped working after a couple of years, otherwise I would have given this a 5 star review. ( I did try to replace the battery but no joy) The tape is so much easier to use than a standard tape measure as it records directly on the app. Also links to the same app as the scales so everything is in one place and shows progress. Cost is good.

Works just like it says on the packaging! Decent product to fit nicely into my RENPHO device eco system! Highly recommend if your in a body recomposition phase or doing a bodybuilding show

Horrible to use, the buttons keep getting in the way, being pressed by accident and register the measurements in the wrong fields. You spend more correcting wrongly recorded measurements than measuring yourself. Stupidly, the app keeps changing from left side to right side automatically - so if you are already measuring your left thigh it switches to the right thigh when it would be logical to go down to the left calf, and then the rest of your left side body parts. The instructions about how to measure each body part are drawings of non-anatomically accurate cartoons, you will never get the correct spots twice. To make things worse, at the end, when you finally went through this battle against their app, it loses data and one third of the measurements do not make to the app! Renpho is a scales company, with an app that only works well with their scales. Every other product they make, be it tape measurers or their Lynx smart rings, is cheaply and thoughtlessly shoehorned into their app. In the end, no matter how good the hardware (which of this product it is not), the app works against you. For £20+ you are better off with a Chinese alternative. There is nothing special about this product that a Chinese generic wouldn't offer for much less.

Other reviewers criticised accuracy. They are wrong. If you read the instructions online it explains why the circumference measurements are different (2.1cm larger) to the length measurements due to the way you connect the pin on the tape into the device. It is really easy to use as you make it larger, put it around the body part, connect the pin and then retract by pressing the button on the side until it fit snuggly around the body part and gives accurate almost hands-free measurements. All go instantly to app but you save it when you are happy and move onto next part. All measurements have title and result displayed on app but it also shows it on the lcd screen as well. Can easily switch from cm to inches and back or circumference/length. It tracks everything to a graph. If you also have renpho scales both sets of data are on same app with a separate tab for each. There are a limited number of measurements you can track but all the key ones are default (e.g. Hips, bust/Abdomen, thighs, biceps, waist) and there are enough spares to cover all my body measurements (I manually had to add wrists, ankles and knees) It also calculates and tracks hip to waist ratio (which is a much more useful indicator of health than BMI) So far no issues with battery which other reviewers commented on but I have not had it long enough to need to change the battery that came with it and had no problems putting in the battery supplied. They are the standard large CR watch batteries that all these types of device use. The app was easy to use and download. I love it. If you don't want an app just buy a standard tape measure, but to track progress when on weight loss or fitness it is awesome. App also sends data to excel if you want it as a record outside of the phone which I appreciated. Adds for other renpho apps on a separate tab but not obtrusive or pop up.

I've had the product for around 6 months, it is a clever device however only a few months later I had to change the battery as the device would not always turn on. Since changing the battery the product does not accurately record measurements for example when turning on rather than being set to '0' a random number appears so I am now having to work out the difference when completing my measurements. I don't use the app very often but for the price paid, I am disappointed that the product stopped working in a few months and with only a few uses. I do not know how to contact the seller to request a replacement hence the review.

Bought this Jan 2023 mainly because I love the Renpho scales and figured the tape would work well with the app. I didn't use it often so when I fished it out to use for my latest attempt to get in shape, it just needed a new battery and all is working fine again (once I realised the battery had a sticker which needed removing first 😅) The magnetic holder for the free end of the tape is a hit fiddly but just needs getting used to.

Very easy to use, small in size

The tape measure came exactly as described and it works perfectly. I love that the tape measure snaps into the bottom and you can use one hand to tighten it up and get a precise measurement. It works with the same RENPHO app that the scale uses so you can track all of your data in one place, which is so nice if you are also using the RENPHO scale. The measurement also syncs right into the app so it makes measuring your whole body quick. You can track your trends and see how your body is changing from week to week. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking to lose weight and want another way of tracking your progress other than just a number on a scale. What I didn’t expect is just how useful this tape measure would be. I bought this because I started a weight loss journey using GLP-1s after years of struggling with my weight due to PCOS and insulin resistance. In the last 3 years, my weight has fluctuated within a range from 170 lbs to 230 lbs. It constantly goes up and down and because of that, I have no idea what size clothing I wear. I have clothes that range from way too big to way too small and I have no idea what size to even buy anymore. This tape measure has been so helpful in deciding what size I should buy. I use the measurements from the app and compare to the size guide for clothing and can finally get a size that actually fits on my body. It’s so useful because sizing varies between brands and I’m able to just open the app and compare my measurements whenever I’m shopping. For that reason, this little device can be useful to everyone whether you’re losing weight or just trying to find clothes that fit you well. I didn’t expect how useful this thing would turn out to be but I’m so glad I bought it.
