My grandkids loved them, great value and good quality.

This fan worked for less than a month, it was not even switched on a daily basis as it is not warm enough yet. HOWEVER, when I did contact the seller they sent me a replacement fan which has stood the test of time. This time during the "heat wave", and it has been on all the time meaning I am the coolest person in the office. I was unlucky to get a faulty fan at first, but from looking at the rest of the reviews this does seem to be a one off experience. I am giving it a 4 star because I found the edditing software to customize your message a slightly hard to use, specially if you want to vary the colours as advertised. If you invest a bit of time in setting it up, it does work well though.

The fan is intended to work on Windows 7, 8 and XP. That was fine with me. However thought the software worked fine and I could programme messages on the computer, the computer won't recognise the fan so can't be programmed. I tried on several different computers. Thus the fan only displays the messages on it when sent out. Amazon tell me they will refund the cost which is great but I do not have a programmable fan as I wanted.

It is amazing few lil things with the programming software like window is out of the display but you grab it and pull it. You can customise so much and it's simple. Great value hope it lasts long 🙂.

Had the fan a while. Pros- good breeze for a small device. Virtually silent. LEDs are bright. Gooseneck is solid and holds it in place well. Cons- the blades can be off balance and cause a vibration. The software is only on a mini CD and not downloadable. Also the software, while doing its job, is awful to use and very slow. The fan head is coming away from the body and may fly off. Maybe due to the small vibration caused by the balance problem. I can’t trust it near my screen as if it does come off I’ll be looking at a large bill to replace the screen. As a fan it’s great but not that well put together.

Got this as a present. Everybody saw it loved it. It's practical and can be made to a personal gift with the programmable messages. I'll definitely get this again for gifts in the future.

the product build quality is excellent BUT the software on CD is too old and has not been upgraded, so does not load onto modern PC etc, so you cannot programme, which is what you want, excellent fan, rubbish program

Fan arrived on time, as described. Works well and is now my " Out of Office" sign at my desk! Brilliant little device! Keeps me cool, too!

I bought one that showed a clock face at a gift shop on a recent trip to Canada, and it got some attention at work. Of course it also works as a decent ‘air flow-er’, making the still air in my work space move when it gets stuffy. I had looked up the device on Amazon and had noticed this programmable one and had thought of getting it a few times. The reason I have been holding off is the negative reviews about it broke after some use (hope that does not happen) and it is not detected by the PC and so it is not programmable. It came in almost the same package as the clock fan and the fan looks almost identical. The software is on a tiny CD and the files are small too. I plugged the fan to my PC’s USB port and it displayed the messages it came with. At first I was worried as I did not see any message on my PC saying it detected the device, but the software had an icon that supposedly implied the device was detected. I typed in a message and tried to upload it and it did not do it. I scanned the manual for answer and realized the fan should be off. I tried again with it off and a green light on the blade began flashing - and after it completed I turned on the fan and it worked as advertised. I found out how to change color and it was simple enough. It is also possible to edit the pixels, with each column of pixels can only be in one color. The fan gives a low humming sound but it is no big deal. I am happy with the purchase now let’s hope it lasts for at least a couple years. 3/26/19 - I bought a second one . Summer is coming and I want two to put side-by-side. Rather than flashing bright and sometimes embarrassing text, I just have them flash dots rotating and cycle the dot color. I have them both hanging off from a monitor's USB ports.

Preprogrammed messages work fine, but I could not get new messages on there. Is there a version available for download?

Student accidentally broke my last year's model so i had to repurchase. There's a high- pitch noise- which makes it unusable.
