Great series
My daughter has enjoyed this series so much! She’s an avid and more advanced reader for her age. Often the books at her reading leave are too mature for her. This series was perfect!

Excellent
The bad news: this is the last book of the series and it tugs at our hearts and tear ducts. The good news: This book is excellent. And if you are disappointed, finish reading it. And there will be a new series which will certainly be excellent.

Last in a great series
In the last novel about Daisy, Hazel and the Detective Society, the girls are on a cruise down the Nile in Egypt along with Hazel’s father and sisters, Amina, George and Alexander and a few others. The other side of the ship is occupied by the Breath of Life Society comprising women and men who believe they’re reincarnations of ancient Egyptian pharaohs. Early during the voyage, the head of them, Theodora Miller, is stabbed to death in her cabin during the night. The girls, excuse me, young women are on the case. Told as always from Hazel’s point of view, the last chapter is especially full of feels. I’m sad to see the end of the Detective Society but we’re promised a new series headed by Hazel’s little sister, May.

Loved!!!!
This is the 9th & final book in the series, & it is definitely now 1 of my all time top favorite series. Historical fiction, detective style mystery MG at its finest. Incredible characters AND side characters, superb writing/story telling, changing locations that are each so atmospheric, new murder mysteries each book that are each more gripping & thrilling than the last, with also a whole new incredible cast of suspects each time..but most of all the friendship of a Miss Hazel Wong & Miss Daisy Wells..the growth of their friendship over the course of the series is truly a beautiful thing. They have such different personalities, but they truly need each other, & make the other better. They are the best team, & couldn’t do this without the other. Can’t say much, but I was so nervous the whole book because of how it started lol, but it was just incredibly done, & I shouldn’t have worried. What a way to go out with a bang! Love how everything wrapped up, & I was so happy for these girls & their future. HIGHLY recommend! Beautiful cover by Nina Tara too.💜

Simply Marvellous Book! My Favourite in The Entire Series!
I recommend this to you, dear friend, and I wish you to recommend this to your best friend, tell them to recommend it to THEIR best friend, and so on.Can words really describe just how brilliant this book is? I shall try.Daisy and Hazel are going to Egypt. Oh, how splendid for them! They are going with The Junior Pinkertons (HazelXAlexander) and Amina El Maghrabi, the Society's newest member. The Wongs are making their appearance (May Wong especially), Alexander and George's tutor- Mr. Young, and Aminas broken governess, Ms. Beauvais. And, perhaps most mysterious of all, an odd group of people who call themselves The Breath Of Life. The Breath of Life believe thseoves to be the reincarnation of Egyptian Pharoahs such as Hatshepsut and Tutankhamun. A rather snobbish bunch, I would say!But then, in the middle of a week long cruise down the Nile, a murderer strikes. Theodora Miller, the societys leader, is found dead in her cabin. Her timid, sleepwalking daughter, Hephzibah 'Heppy' Miller, is frmed. The ship is headed for shore, where Heppy (surely innocent?) will be arrested. And so itas game on for the detectives, in a heartstopping race against the clock to dicover the true murderer before it is to late. Could it be Narcissus DeWitt, reincarnation of Thutmose III, or perhaps Ida Doggett, Cleopatra, who wamts to be Hatshepsut instead (Oh, that is Ms. Millers reincarnation!)? Or is it not what it seems at all? Join the Detectives for their final adventure as they race against time to find out whodunnit! But this time, things will be different. Ths time, only one of the inseperable Detective Society will return. And, this time, Daisy and Hazel's growing up brings about the terrible realisation that, at one point, death claims us all....If you like mystery (and don't mind a alight bit of gore, might I add!), adventure (the kind where you find yourself yelling"Oh, no!", "AHA!", "Oh, How simply splendid!"), a little romance, just a pinch of laughter, and excellent plot twists, then this is the number one book for you. I did like the fact that there was some pleasant good humor and laughter in this otherwise quite tragic tale! And I normally dont like romance, but the marvelous Miss Stevens has paired the couples so well, and made them so cute together, I actually went "Aww!" at one point! It literally felt so impossibly real, why, I felt as though I was there too!I am writing in this awfully posh manner to be like Hazel. I am also called Hazel, and I feel I am quite like her! Only I am Irish. PLEASE BUY THIS BOOK AND THIS SERIES!Yours Truly,The Bookworm On Tye Hillxxxps. *SPOILER* Daisy is lesbian! Her and Amina are CUUUTE!, but I don't know if lesbians were treated well in 1936? Either way, what a WOW pairing!pps. My web, the Bookworm On the Hill, which u can hopefully visit from September 2020, will have all my reviews (and this one) on it, so please check it out! THANK YOU FOR READING THIS REVIEW I HOPE T WAS HELPFUL FROM THE BOOKWORM ON THE HILL

Wow! The Best Yet!
Wow! I would give this book 10 stars if I could!Due to a technical hitch I didn't get this book til about 12 hours after it should have downloaded. But, boy, was it worth the wait.I have been reading in every spare minute since (and some that weren't really spare!) Yes, it definately is the best yet!I realised very early on that it was based on Death on the Nile; an excellent homage to Agatha Christie.I wasn't sure about the ending, having read the write up on Amazon, but was compelled to keep reading. And it was a very good ending to such a book. I won't say any more, as there will be people reading the reviews who haven't yet read the book. Now there is only one more thing to do - preorder the next Robin Stevens book! Do I really have to wait until August 2022 for it??
