Good slicer, but things to be aware of!
The slicer itself is very good and feels quality. The blade is just under 10". But know a few things: (1) It's involved to clean up, but it is a messy food slicer. (2) We had to use an impact driver to initially loosen the 3 screws that held the blade. (3) We had to enlarge the central bore of the blade disc with a rotary tool so it wouldn't be such a crazy tight fit off and on the hub, had to use a mallet to remove it the first time! (4) We went around all the edges of the unit with sandpaper to remove unnecessarily sharp edges. (5) The teflon coating had some embedded sand specks which ruined the flatness, so I had to chip them out with a screwdriver. (6) the 3 holes on the blade don't perfectly align with the 3 holes on the motor hub, I found this a bit surprising, 120 degree perfection should be simple with today's manufacturing. My suggestion would be to stick to the silver models with plastic handles (the metal handles are heavy!), and then optionally pick the teflon blade.

Perfect Slicer… one small problem.
I love everything about this slicer. It’s sleek, it’s heavy and it’s sexy. It cuts with such veracity and style that sometimes I forget what I’m doing. But it has one teeny tiny flaw…. The piece that is shown in the picture is usually flipped so that the pointy side is towards the blade and when slicing my delicious, scrumptious prosciutto, it likes to grab on to the slice of beautiful meat, catching the back side of the blade and chucks it out the back side of the slicer making it wonderful fodder for my pups. Now every time I pull the slicer out they come running, because they know that, without fail, they will be getting an unscheduled snack. But I have beaten the system… as you can see I have flipped the piece by unscrewing the two bolts and rotating it 180 degrees. The slicer is no longer a meat launcher and my pups are upset. I should give this slice me a 1 star for the pups. Seriously though, this was an easy fix for such an amazing slicer.

Better than a used hobart for $1500
Very good for the price. Especially if you are just looking for an occasional use. The Teflon coating makes a dream to use with cheese. I did have issues with slicing veggies thicker.

Seems like a commercial quality slicer. Will be the last one I think that I will ever have to buy.
The slicer is very durable. The operation is very easy and it operates very quietly. The 1 thing I don’t like is there is no blade lock when you have to remove the blade for cleaning. Overall I would give this a 9 out of 10 rating.

Poor coating quality, but works great!
The slicer has a poor quality coating, received the machine with many scratches and abrasions. However, I decided to keep the slicer because it is cut well into slices and it works very quietly.

Excellent slicer for hotpot
It's very easy to use and clean. It does get messy cutting up the meats for hot pot and you need to be careful during the cleans but overall it's amazing. Saves me a ton of time.
