Very sturdy and well made. As a result it is fairly heavy. Good for windy, rainy weather but adds a noticeable weight to your bag.

I have two of these and it's definitely my favorite of my heavy-duty umbrellas. I don't consider them for travel - too heavy/bulky - but for everyday use around town they are small enough and more durable than most of the umbrellas in this class. I've been a bit disappointed in one of them; the last segment of one of the tines is broken and so the umbrella droops and is not taught at one of the ends. I'm not quite sure how it happened - so maybe it was user error - but still disappointed in that. Droopy end aside, it still works fine and is otherwise sturdy.
