I honestly was prepared for this tape dispenser not to truly work but WOW I was wrong! This thing works 100% as advertised, which is actually better than I dreamed it might work. If you’ve ever wrapped a gift don’t wrap another one until you own one of these tape dispensers! Recommended tape is regular or extra-adhesive Scotch brand tape! This dispenser has literally changed my life!

This dispenser is amazing! I use it for pattern making and is far easier to use than a regular tape dispenser. I found that it cuts the tape better when releasing the handle quickly (not gently). It’s a great tool!

This is a nice, sturdy, hand-held tape dispenser and the only one I could find that was for regular tape and not package sealing tape. The only thing I am disappointed in is that the tape dispensed is cut to a specific size rather than allowing you to advance the tape to the size piece you want and then cutting it. It dispenses and cuts all in one operation. That is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The directions are very specific as to how to operate it so that it doesn't jam, so you can't stop it halfway and advance the tape manually.

Now that I'm in the gift-wrapping cycle, I've given this thing a good test, and it works great. It makes wrapping go a lot faster--one hand holds the paper, one hand applies the perfect amount of tape. Initially, it was a little tricky to get the hang of as my inclination was to try to tear the tape like a packing tape gun. With this one when you release the trigger, it cuts the tape automatically. Once I got the hang of it, it really proved to be very helpful. It's cheap too!

Was extremely difficult to understand instructions and impossible to thread tape. After wasting more time than I wanted to, I returned the item.The first roll should come loaded so one may see how it is supposed to be threaded. The tape roll was also very difficult to find the beginning edge. I wanted to like and keep the item but just couldn’t.

I purchased this item after using tape pop-ups, put out by Scotch brand, that were ideal for Christmas gift wrapping. Sadly, the pop-ups are no longer available, so I gave this a try. It seemed to work okay, after I used it a few times. But then the tape would stick to itself when it would dispense. Only a few attempts were not wasted and actually looked decent on the wrapped present. I may need some more practice with it, but I was disappointed that it often would "jamb" up.

I was skeptical at first when I purchased this, but I don’t know what I have done without it for so long. It is fantastic to use one-handed, great quality and easily stored.

When I pull down to cut the tape it doesn’t work and gives me more tape.
