When it comes to baby products, I always like to share my experience because I remember being a mom searching for the safest and best options for my baby. This mattress is not the cheapest one available, but I truly believe it is worth every penny. The breathable design gives me extra peace of mind, knowing it is made with materials that allow better airflow. The cover has a full-length zipper, making it easy to remove and wash in the washing machine, which is extremely convenient with a baby. The mattress itself can also be cleaned in the shower after accidents like diaper leaks or spills. I love that it is comfortable while still maintaining the firmness that a baby mattress should have. After months of use, I can say this was one of the best purchases I made for my baby. I have received many compliments from other moms, and I always recommend it. If you are looking for a high quality, practical, and long lasting crib mattress, this one is definitely worth considering. I highly recommend it!

We absolutely love our Newton Baby crib mattress. It fits perfectly in our standard-size crib with no gaps, which immediately gave us peace of mind. The mattress holds its shape extremely well- very slight dip in the middle where our baby sleeps but that could be from the crib shape as well but still feels very high quality and supportive. One of the best features is how easy it is to clean. It’s waterproof, wipes down easily, you can literally put it in the shower and spray it down with soap. Air drying takes a bit but not as long as I would expect other mattresses to take. Being able to keep it truly clean is a huge plus for us. We also love how breathable it is. Knowing our baby can safely sleep on her stomach and still breathe comfortably with the correct mattress sheet, gives us so much reassurance. Most importantly, our baby sleeps great on it! We would 100% purchase again from Amazon and recommend it to other parents. (We do not have our baby sleep with anything in the crib, she sleeps in a sleep sack with no blankets or toys. Buy it. It is a super comfortable mattress compared to others on the market. The breathability can’t be beat. I like that it can all be washed. No odors associated with it. I was hesitant to spend the money but the essential version was a great intro to it. And honestly, I’d buy the original now knowing how much I like it. Only downfall of essential is it is an inch shorter than original. This doesn’t fully cover the bolts for the mattress support on the crib. The extra inch is beneficial.

MORE UPDATES..Love!! Our baby prefers this crib mattress over the bassinet and slept better through the night. Easy to clean. I also don’t worry about our baby’s temperature. I was a bit worried with it being like a sponge. I probably should have gotten the toddler/newborn one if our kid likes it so much. UPDATE: Baby has learned to roll!!! He rolls and ends up face forward! My owlet socks says he is breathing fine when he does it (obviously don’t let your baby stay like that) but I can sleep at night knowing when he does it he is safe! We just got this mattress for my 4 month old and absolutely loves it! He used to sleep in a bassinet with a harder mattress and he now sleeps so much better because this one is softer! It’s completely breathable and I love that you are able to just wash it if he has any accidents. I was worried it wouldn’t be thick enough but it’s the perfect amount.

This mattress is a baby essential in my opinion. You can breath through it WELL even with for face flat against it. I can’t say the same about it our mini cribs mattress… worth every penny to me. It also is firm but soft enough to be comfortable. I have also been able to fully wash the mattress when accidents occurred.

The weight of the actual mattress is a little heavy, which may make changing sheets difficult for some depending on how low your mattress is set and how tall you are. I love this price point for a Newton though!

The absolute best mattress! If your kid often sleeps on their stomach this is the right mattress for you given its breathability.

We bought this mattress for our first baby after doing a lot of research, and it’s been one of our best purchases. It feels firm but comfortable, and I love that it's fully washable — we’ve already had to wash the cover once and it was super easy. I love this mattress. I bought it first for my son. As soon as he learned to roll over, he exclusively started sleeping on his stomach. It gave me so much peace at night knowing that he had the most breathable mattress on the market since he was a stomach sleeper. I loved it so much I bought a second one for my daughter when she came along 2 years later.
