Q: Will using the usb-c to micro usb cable play music and charge it via usb c port on phone?

No, the USB-C audio cable cannot charge the earbuds, it is only for music. There is a separate cable for charging.

Q: is this compatible to ipad? via bluetooth? or how about via 3.5mm to usb-c cable?

Yes it is compatible with all iPads via Bluetooth. To use a wired connection, you can plug the 3.5mm cable into all older iPads. For newer iPads without an audio jack, you just need a converter dongle to plug the cable into the iPad's lightning port.

Q: How can i factory default these? they won't connect via bluetooth and i assume it's because they are connected to something else..
