I bought this controller to replace an old, dumb Rain Bird controller that had stopped working. I installed it yesterday, and it took me about 30 minutes to get it installed and setup. The unit is sleek and attractive. Yes, I know, it just sits in my garage where no one else will see it, but it illustrates the thoughtfulness that Netro has put into this product. I like that the faceplate is held on by magnets which makes it easy to revove. The connectors for the wires were much easier to use than the ones on my old system. I also appreciated the included bubble level. Setup was easy, and the instructions were adequate. I did have to reboot my router during setup, but this is something I've had to do while installing other smart devices. Once the router restarted, the Netro was connected, and I could controller it from the app. The (Android) app is intuitive and easy to use. I setup my zones as Smart Zones, so I have not used the manual scheduling feature yet. If your schedule does not show up immediately, just be patient. It took a little while for mine to show up. The only thing I don't like about the app is that it doesn't auto-rotate. This is not a big deal on my phone, because the layout might not look good in landscape on a smaller screen. However, I also use the app on my tablet, and it would work fine in landscape on a larger screen. I suggested this feature to customer service. This leads me to my final thoughts. As others have mentioned in their reviews, Netro customer service is outstanding. They contacted me on the same day that I setup my account to make sure everything was working correctly. I had one question about the schedule not updating, and they responded quickly. This seems like a great company, and I am very pleased with my decision to purchase this product.
