Too big and heavy for me to ride with it to work and struggle with it. Don't need to be spending several minutes just to lock and unlock my secondary lock. This thick cable is a good theft deterrent, though, for someone in a worse neighborhood than mine, if he or she can get the large loops through the seat openings. The seven-foot length makes it plenty long enough to run though both wheels. I will use this 10-mm cable with a lock I already own just to disappoint anyone who takes a shine to our patio furniture.I will use the smaller 6-mm OnGuard combo lock cable (6mm X 7') for my bicycle. The 6-mm cable is thin, but it is super easy to carry and use and will deter opportunity thieves from swiping the seat and wheels. I just put the 6-mm cable through the seat and both wheels and locked it in ten seconds. (Obviously, I will use a giant U-lock to lock the frame of the bike to prevent theft of the entire bike.)

Seems to work fine but I know these things can be cut. I keep my bike in a locked patio and use TWO different cables, a half-way decent lock, and a bike cover. All of these can be defeated with a little persistence but I'm only hoping to slow a thief down enough to make him consider stealing the next available bike. The best security is to keep your bike locked inside but my apts too small [l've had a lot of bikes stolen]. I like the fact that this is a relatively long cable so can get it around pipes.

Arrived and matched the description. Would not use any cable as the primary locking feature to rely on. Should use the main lock going through frame and around secure anchor. The cable is primarily for going through wheels and other items as needed. The clear covering is thick enough and not used to magnify the size of the cable like some other brands.

I like this cable, it has a good length and it is not that heavy. Exactly what I was looking for. Obviously it is not the most secure because it is kind of thin but I have always thought that if someone want to steal your bike, he will cut down the u lock and your bike will be gone, so this is just to make the stealing of your bike more difficult.At the end of the day I will recommend this product to some looking for a long and lightweight cable.

The extra length is helpful and doesn't add much bulk or weight. Wouldn't use this as my primary security for my bike, but it's great to lock up my wheel and helmet and anything else that doesn't fit in the U-Lock. I paired it with an OnGuard Brute LS U-Lock. Please do some research on how to properly lock up your bike. It will save you a headache down the road.

Excellent product at a great price. I used to carry two heavy locks (a u-lock and a folding lock) to secure my bike at work because both tires have quick release but it's quite a bit of weight to carry. I've found that it's too time consuming to remove one of the tires for everything to be secured with one lock so this OnGuard cable is a great solution. I can still carry 2 locks for maximum security without the burden of excessive weight while still being able lock/unlock quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

I love the 7 foot Length Much better than a four footer my bike is extra-large so I need something that can fit around both wheels.And then need it to fit around the pole and lock and it does, my old one couldn’t do that!

I purchased it to bring it overseas for a train ride to secure my luggage. This item is VERY sturdy, is very good quality, but also is much larger and heavier than I expected. It is probably not suitable if you are packing it with your luggage for an international flight.
