## Questions & Answers

**Q: Just got a few.  What can I do to eliminate the chemical smell.  It's keeping me from using them!**
A: It is possible to wash them in a washing machine in warm water with a bunch of towels on top. You'll have to push the pillow under the water a few times throughout the cycle. I also run it thru an extra rinse cycle. Also a dryer sheet and the air dry cycle on your dryer. Just remember NO heat.

**Q: is the exterior covering washable?**
A: For anyone else who wants to know, while this is supposed to be spot cleaned, you can put it in a pillow case and safety pin it shut or use one of the fine mesh (like Woolite or Tide brands) lingerie bags.  Wash it on gentle and then air dry it.  I even wash kids' stuffed animals that way, and they come out like new.  It WOULD be nice if it came with a slip cover, but it doesn't, so this is an alternative way to wash it and get it really clean.

**Q: Can it be a toy**
A: No...it is filled with tiny styrofoam beads.  If it gets a hole in it a small child could choke or suffocate on the tiny styrofoam beads.  I would NOT recommend it for small children or a toy.  It's not very comfortable as a neck pillow either & im not sure why it got decent reviews.   I would give it 1 1/2 stars & that's being generous.   :/

**Q: does the cover come off for washing?**
A: No but if you have a newer type of washer and put it in a pillowcase cover (they have a zipper closure) to wash on a delicate cycle it will be fine. Over time washing will force beads to come through the fabric because of the high velocity spin...but if you use the zip pillowcase it won’t get the beads all in your washer..

I needed something a bit softer than memory foam for a week of nightly use and this microbead pillow was a good choice. It’s definitely easier on the neck for sleeping every night and the velvety side feels cozy against my skin. The quality is solid and the button closure on the front helps keep it in place. The only downside is that no matter which side I use it warms up my neck area and so I've been waking up sweaty compared to when I use my memory foam one. Would be great if it came with a removable cover to wash. Overall, it's been a great option, comfortable without that stiff foam feel.
