Piscifun Spare Spool for Aoka Fly Fishing Reel with Cork Disc Drag System

For $45 the reel isn’t bad. It stores line, as any other reel does, and it’s fairly smooth considering the price. I mainly bought it because I liked the color. It has a pretty quiet click when stripping line and is silent when retrieving line.The spare spool is waste of $20. The first one I purchased did not fit on my 7/8 reel and after measuring I discovered it was about 2mm larger than the spool the reel came with. After purchasing a second and returning the first I found that this wasn’t an isolated incident. This leads me to believe either the spare spool is made using a different cast than the spool that comes with the reel, or the reel is mislabeled as a 7/8.Overall:decent cheap reel that comes in a nice colorcrap spare spool, don’t waste your money.

Bought it for the color as a throw away not expecting it to last very long and the darn thing turned out to be a pretty good little reel..lol so much so I bought a few extra spools

Own 2 aoka 5/6 reels with 2 spare full spools that are used for bass fishing here in Florida, reel is as good or better than the marque brand name fly reel in my collection, light, excellent drag system, I use the reel often to play and retrieve the heavier Lm bass just a fine quality addition to my fly fishing tackle and at a fair price

Arrived as scheduled. Will not be used until spring of 2021 thus comments are on the appearance and quality. Rotation appears smooth -quiet with noticeable strong drag. Appears well machined and uniform. Does not come with instructions to change from right to left or vice versa ,however this can be easily obtained from their website orinternet. The process is very simple and easy to understand. Have purchased Pascifun fly reels previously with no problems and look forward the Aoka.
