Its design also contributes to reducing air infiltration, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort. ## Description Why Draught Proof? - Your house or commercial property will loose heat during cold weather partly due to poor thermal insulation, but also due to the air-leakiness of the building. This warm air loss is technically known as infiltration or permeability and is measured in metres cubed per hour per square metre of floor area. A typical building built 1900 to 1990 will lose around 20-30 metres cubed of air per hour per square meter of floor area. This is due to natural leakage through the fabric of the building, but largely through gaps around windows and doors. Good use of draft proofing could reduce your air permeability to around 8-10 metres cubed per hour which is a good low-cost way of reducing your heating bills. The amount of air infiltration to your property will also depend on its exposure to wind so if you are on a hillside or near the coast then it is even more beneficial for you to have good draught-proofing. The chrome rain deflector (only) is tested in Salt Spray in accordance with ASTM.B117-07 / BS EN 1670:2007. Test passed with no sign of corrosion. ## Features - Deflects water away from the door - Helps to avoid water tracking under the door - Good for exposed locations, prolongs life of wooden external doors - Pre-drilled fixing holes. No rust evident. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 November 2025* My wood stormguard was damaged by workmen so I bought this one. It looks nice after more than eighteen months on an exterior door to my garage. It fits well. No rust. Doesn't look cheap. Does it's job. Good price with drill holes for ease of fitting. Happy to recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its a like for like replacement or close enough and does the job. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 November 2022* Looks smart, fits well. Cutting it to size is interesting... Before cutting check you keep the pre drilled holes on the left and right hand side at a reasonable distance from the edge. Otherwise you may end up with no pre drilled hole close to one end after cutting it.Saying that I had no problem (no instructions with mine, but obvious). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great service and good product *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 28 February 2026* Very quick delivery. Exactly what I wanted. Clear instructions. easy to cut to size, screws provided. ## Frequently Bought Together - LOWENERGIE Stormguard Door Rain Water Weather Deflector Bar (914mm, Chrome 32mm) - UPVC Door Handles - Polished Chrome - Lever/Lever - 92mm PZ (Centres) - 122mm Screw to Screw - Backplate 212mm X 34mm - UPVC Door Handle - External Door Handle - Chrome Replacement UPVC Door Handles - XFORT Door Knocker Polished Chrome, Victorian Urn Door Knockers for Front Door, Elegant Front Door Furniture with a Classic Period Design --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/218816199-stormguard-rain-deflector-chrome-914mm-door-water-weather-bar-32mm](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/218816199-stormguard-rain-deflector-chrome-914mm-door-water-weather-bar-32mm) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
