THAI ICED TEA Loose Leaf By Urban Monk Tea Company (1 Pound / 16 Ounce)

This product is great, anyone considering it should definitely get it. I love thai iced tea but was almost going broke from buying so much of it from restaurants, so I did some research and decided to try making it. I made it with the amount they say to make it with and it was much too weak for my liking, so I messed with the recipe a bit and found some measurements that worked much better. If you like thai tea, I definitely recommend this because it is very easy to make and costs way less than the ones you will get at any restaurant. I will definitely buy this again! If you get it and like strong tea, make sure to brew more than what is said because it is the perfect flavor but a bit weak.

It tastes good. My experience with loose leaf Thai teas is that you want to use more tea than you normally would with regular cups of tea or iced tea. HOWEVER, it does have the food coloring. I am constantly on the hunt for loose Thai tea without the coloring that also taste good. Back to the drawing board.

Just opening the bag, I am welcomed with a wonderful fragrance,... Mmmm! I can't really put my finger on what I'm smelling, except that it smells "lightly sweet". It's not sweetened though, just tea particles. It makes a really great tasting tea. I make it with 1 t. leaves to 1 c almost boiling water and steep for 10 minutes. Add a bit of stevia and 1/4 c whole coconut milk and a couple ice cubes (or put in fridge for awhile). You can play with adding the following spices: Anise, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom, Almond Extract and Vanilla Extract. Enjoy!

It’s smells wonderful. Good price. Taste is good but not perfect. It’s off slightly and I can’t figure out what. But it’s worth it

It is great just like the stuff at my favorite Chinese food joint, I make it add milk sugar and Ice it's just as good and not 5 bucks for a large about 20 ounces, with boba also bought from amazon, mango is the bomb!!!

This tea is alright for my purposes, but it is made of very little pieces instead of nice full leaves. There are also lots of things in there that look like sticks and bark, not tea -- but I'm not an expert. I've seen the same kind of texture in really cheap teas I've bought in the past. The brewed tea is brightly colored and gives off a weird and not very pleasant smell, but it tastes okay by itself and I'm sure will be delicious if I do it the right way and add condensed milk! In short, I'm okay with this tea, but I'd be curious to know if there's a better quality option I can afford.
