I was looking for a lightweight and portable bookshelf to keep my books and files. Luckily, I stumbled upon this product on Amazon. I am highly satisfied and impressed about the quality, design and sturdiness of this product. When I first looked at this bookshelf, I was skeptical about its strength. Oh boy, I was wrong! It is strong enough to hold heavy books. It is also easier to assemble. They provided a manual and I followed the instructions provided in the manual and assembled an hour. Highly recommended product for this price.

The steel bars are quite sturdy. The plastic joints can be the weak point, but will hold on unless you put too much load on them. I like it that there are so many horizontal bars to hold the weight. The structure is designed to handle vertical load quite well, but not shear stress (due to plastic joints). Don't try to move the rack while loaded with books. The plastic wrappers are no thicker than good quality polyethene bag, but the material is good and will not tear unless you drag a stack of books on them. The assembly is little bit difficult only because the holes in the plastic joints are machined to perfection and are designed to hold the steel bars sturdily in their place. At this price point, this is a storage rack for books or any other household items, a product with utility but not the looks. Can be quite useful for those whose children are studying for their boards or for competitive exams; also for those who want to stove off miscellaneous items like chargers, laptops, purses, bags, etc. in a corner where they can be located easily. Strictly not for the drawing room.

Not stable. Assembling the rods were fine, but the wrappers didn’t fit. By now, the rods are bending.

Kindly read my review fully. I ordered this item after reading all types of reviews. I was sure that I am not going to keep books on this as many reviewers wrote that it's not that strong. And yes it is not that strong. But it’s ok in this price and it looks good. But I got damaged rods as you can see in the picture. Which I managed to make work using a plier. I used the plier to correct the deformation and it was easily done. This proves that the metal is very weak and cannot hold more weight. Also one of the rack-cloth was torn. For that torn cloth I used cellotape as u can see in the picture. When customers pay total amount, they expect flawless items. Which is a bit disappointing. But anyways I finally made this rack and it was looking good. For the look only I am giving 1 stars. Otherwise for damaged product I would give 0 stars.

its a cheap shelf. so the build quality is also cheap. is it the best-no. does it get the job done-yes. it is perfect for a temporary fix or if you are a broke college student like i was in college. the metal tubes are light and hollow, too much pressure will damage them. might wanna refrain from weight testing singular tubes. i used it to hold a lot of heavy books and it did not get damaged if i was careful in placing them on the shelf

Not so strong, shaking after few days

I bought it for keeping daily used clothes, books and other day to day used items, it is good for that purpose. Installation took a bit time but once done its sturdy.The fabric provided is a bit thin it can tear while installing if we are not careful,mine tore a bit I had to use tape to fix it. Light weight, looks durable, easy to deassemble when you are moving to another home, space and height is fine.I liked it.
