can I use it for squeaky laminate floors?

Squeaks Gone is primarily for squeaks caused by metal-on-metal.  Squeaky laminate floors could be caused by loose nails, wood laminate rubbing on pieces of wood laminate or the floor underneath it, or loose pieces of laminate.  We do not recommend putting Squeaks Gone on squeaky floors or wooden stairs.  It is not the intended use and the outcome could be continued squeaking or even unwanted changes in wood laminate color.

Question 2

would this work on sticking vinyl double hung windows?

Accepted Answer

I assume these are sliding windows.  Yes, Squeaks Gone will work to allow the vinyl windows to slide with less friction.  Treat the Squeaks Gone like it is a cleaner, put some on a rag or paper towel and then wipe the sliding areas of the windows, where vinyl meets vinyl.  This will initially remove material that has build up on the vinyl.  Then use a clean spot on the rag or paper towel to put some additional Squeaks Gone and wipe the sliding areas one more time.  This leaves behind just enough Squeaks Gone to act as a lubricant and allow the windows to slide much easier than they were sliding before.  Remember that a little bit of Squeaks Gone goes a long way.  Retreat the sliders if they become sticky again but it likely will last for weeks, maybe even months.

Question 3

Is this a non-flamable product?  Can it be used on an electric oven door?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it can be used on oven door hinges.  Be aware that it reduces friction significantly and may make the oven door slide past the "partial open stop" on the door.  We got feedback from one customer where his oven door would no longer stop at the spot where it is only open a few inches.  The squeaks and difficulty closing the door was remedied, but he then had to find a new solution to keep his door open open part way.  His fix was to use a pan with a handle between the oven and the open oven door.

Question 4

Would this work on a squeaky wheelchair? The sound is coming from the wheels.

Accepted Answer

While this lubricant was designed primarily to reduce friction and wear where metal meets metal, it has been shown to remove other squeaks as well. It may work on the wheel chair. It is worth the try.
