I spent ages trying to find the thermometer for ambient oven temperature. We have a freestanding AEG oven hob which I am not particularly happy with many reasons but mostly because the temperature gauge is way off. I’d run through about three analog oven thermometers. They’re annoying to use, difficult to see, get in the way when cooking they get covered in crud. basically pointless. I wanted to find a probe that would sit in the oven and connect to a monitor of some kind but when I came to look for this all I could find were probes for meat. I mean that is also useful but it’s not what I wanted and I wasn’t sure if a meat probe was also ok to use for ambient temp? I didn’t want something more inaccurate than my oven. Product adverts and even the manuals didn’t really help clear up whether or not you could use these this probes as an oven thermometer or how if you did you could attach them. Thankfully when it arrived it had a small bracket and I was able to install the probe in a way that allowed me to move the trays etc, took me a few variations but finally got it done. with the cable being quite thin it’s easy to run it through - as photos. the oven door closes fine.. Previous options always got in the way. Looks a bit messy in pic but actually you can hide it away completely and just use the app. I’m sure I could route the cable through the oven vent but I’m not sure it’s long enough and can’t be bothered with the faff. The unit itself is very good shows temperature very clearly, has a backlight, and metal loop you can pop up - ie to safely hang near a bbq. the app works very well ( make sure you pick the bbq one) you can set alarms and target et cetera. I haven’t actually used the second probe to check meat yet I was able to determine that the oven actually works quite well it’s just set about 20° over what the dial says as long as I only turn the dial clockwise. I’m now able to set an accurate temperature see photo cocktail stick lines up pretty much now with exactly what the temperature should be so this simple device has solved the problem that I’ve been battling with for about the last 10 years! PS I added a little magnet to the back. It doesn’t have one included. Hopefully this review will save anyone looking for a decent oven thermometer some time! No idea why they don’t make it clearer these are not just for bbq’s I’m sure plenty of people struggle with poorly calibrated or wobbly oven temp dials.

I love this thermometer, it links easily to an app on your phone so you don't have to keep checking your cooking. I can imagine it will come into its own this Christmas when more than one joint of meat will be in the oven. It also works as a stand alone thermometer, it's not necessary to use the app, it has an in built alarm as well. The app is also very useful for giving guidance as to the temperatures of cooking different meats.

Bought after much research. Persuasive points were: range, 4 probes, ambient measurement, app, and good comments regarding probe quality. Setup was utterly straightforward. Too seconds. Unwind the probes, plug in (they're colour-coded) and download the app. I can't even remember connecting - it was so easy. It's really useful being able to measure multiple pieces of meat or, with a chicken, having one in the breast and another in a leg, with a third checking the ambient temperature. I've used this on the BBQ and also in the oven. Excellent at both. The probes react quickly - not instantaneous (like the Thermapen folding probe) but within a second or two. Perfect for a low-and-slow session and also for searing. For the price it's excellent. I have previously bought, used and returned Bluetooth probes (they had a range of 10 feet and couldn't penetrate foil or the BBQ lid!). This just works. Recommended.

Bought this for cooking meat in the oven and baking. Downloading the App and the connectivity is very simple. Accurate and useful programmable functions. Been easy to use albeit I’m still getting used to all its functions. The display is clear and good size. The hook/stand are an excellent bonus, but I did find the wires got a little tangled but feel excellent quality and sturdy. The prongs to the meat thermometer are thoroughly cleanable.

Very useful. Making sure items are perfectly cooked & safe to eat. Highly recommended.

Bought this to use with a smoker. I previously purchased a different (cheaper) make, but it just wasn't up to the job and I wasn't sure it was reading the temperature well. I have used ThermoPro thermometers in different guises before in the kitchen and have always found them to be good, so bought the TermoPro TP25. It works well, a clear improvement on the alternate make I had previously purchased. The battery easily lasts the whole cook on a single charge. The App is easy to use and has some nice features/pre-sets useful for slow cooking/smoking meats. My only niggle is bluetooth range is as far as i'd like it to be, but I think that is more to do with the construction of my home. All in all a good buy and would recommend.

Bought this on a whim thinking it would be rubbish, but I was SO wrong... At work we cook 4 different meats tp different temperatures for our Carvery. Being able to program exact temperatures is fantastic. The connectivity was good but the range was lacking somewhat... the 200m advertised is more like 30m but once the unit is programmed it just does it's stuff and beeps when ready. The unit flashes which probe is at temperature and tapping the light button dismisses it. Being able to leave it in the meat whilst in the oven takes all the guess work out. The BIGGEST Warning though DO NOT TOUCH THE PROBES ONCE THEY'VE BEEN IN THE OVEN! My brain forgot this about 10 times and I have the burns to prove it.

Worked well on bbq and no problems with that. My other use for it is measuring heat and heat loss on immersion insulated cyclinder. As a check for legionaires disease I can check that immersion heater temp is rising to the 60 degees c required to kill it. It can also indicate for you the relevant flow and return temps of radiators. As the item is calibrated for temps to be within 1 or 2 degrees it is a great bbq temp measurer which works remotely and issues an alarm from app on phone. The app also lets me monitor the heat range at top and midway /bottom of heating cyclinder and will alarm me when to turn it off as it reaches max temp . Have actually put parameters into app to monitor my cooking oven as The dear OH was looking for a proving oven for baking . Brownie points as I just turn on gas oven for a few minutes with metal tray inside which heats up and the keeps oven warm enough to stay at around 40 degrees for proving pastry. It takes a bit of trial and error as all ovens behave different but in this case more than paid for itself as it would mean a new microwave oven with proover.

Fungerar fint tillsammans med appen men den kräver att du har en app om du vill den att larmar när du uppnått en förutbestämd temperatur eftersom man inte kan göra inställningar på sändarenheten. Eftersom den har sladdar kopplat från sensorerna till enheten så kan det bli lite många sladdar på grillen som fastnar i varandra om man använder alla fyra sensorerna samtidigt men det är ett i-landsproblem. Köper nog en till snart.

This thermometer works fantastic, all 4 probes measured the same temp and the connection was rock solid no matter where I was in my house. The app is easy to use, doesn't come with any extra rubbish like other thermometer apps do making them complex to use, it is straight forward and simple. It does ask for location services to be on of using the app, not sure why it needs it, but once it was installed and connected, i turned it off and it still worked. I love the graph feature and the early warning alarm, to remind you to remove the meat before your set temp as to not over cook the meat. The back light is bright and easy to see in daylight and it also has a useful hook on the back. Only used once and my review may change after several uses. The only one thing that could be better are the probe clamps that connect to the grill plate, they fall down and don't hold the probe up. Maybe it's my grill plate and not the probe clamps, but I didn't need them anyway. So far I would recommend this brand and model, I think great value for money.
