TrailBuddy Walking Poles - Pack of 2 Lightweight, Adjustable Trekking Poles for Hiking, Camping & Backpacking - Walking Sticks w/Cork Grip and Padded Strap

Tried these for the first time yesterday after buying last month. Have hiked Scafell pike and Helvellyn with them and I am very impressed! Lightweight but very sturdy and easy to adjust. 10/10

The poles are good quality feel robust. I think they will last a long time. I use these rather than a walking stick. They allow me to stand up straight and not lean over as in using stick. So keep my back straighter. I can also walk faster which helps with my overall fitness. As an older user, I would say give them a try. They are fully adjustable and the hand straps make them very secure. I don't feel as if I would trip up or fall. Safety in walking with these is good. I saw my orthopaedic consultant and mentioned that I was using the poles to help with my spine and knee problems, he said that they we a really good idea and a number of his patients had benefitted from the use of poles. (No particular make of course) From my perspective I can walk further and faster and breath easier, which surely must be of health benefit. I am no expert! I would say to anyone with similar health issues to give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I am recovering from a spinal injury and a doctor suggested getting walking poles to aid my recovery. I didn't want to buy really expensive ones, in case I didn't get on with them, and I'm hoping not to use them for too long anyway. The poles are nice and sturdy, very easy to adjust and fold down, and come with a very handy carry bag, so if you aren't using them e.g. while sitting on a train, they don't take up too much room. The only downside I have found is that, when walking on pavements (which I do mostly) they are very noisy... tap tap tap tap tap tap. I feel like people can hear me coming from miles around. There are rubber tips on the end of the poles but they don't seem to make much difference. That said, they have helped me a lot with my walking, taking some of the weight off my back and helping me get moving.

I was a little sceptical about the use of walking poles in general and didn’t want to spend a few hundred pounds on them for my wife and I to experiment with. After a lot of research online, we decided on a set of Trail Buddy poles each. I cannot begin to describe how incredible they are! Very easy to assemble and adjust, fold down to an easily manageable length and are very solid and reliable in use. We watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to correctly use them and have been hiking with them regularly ever since. In fact, I can’t imagine setting off for a walk without them. We can walk further and faster than ever before - and we are in our seventies! What’s more, they give us so much more confidence, it’s like upgrading yourself to a 4x4 hiker. We originally thought we’d progress onto more expensive carbon fibre poles if we got on with these, but that notion has gone completely. We will stick with these Trail Buddies until we need to replace them with another set of the same poles. Great product and great seller. Would recommend both.

Just arrived and practiced around the house to get used to them. Easy to assemble and the graduation marks on the shafts make sure you get the right height for you. The handles are comfortable to hold and the wrist straps can be adjusted to suit. I’m waiting for a hip replacement and these poles will help me to walk upright and give me support, they are sturdy. Comes with a storage bag and supplied with different ends for muddy conditions and snow. Really pleased with them, I feel sure they will help and enable me to get out and walk with more confidence, plus much more ‘fashionable’ than the usual walking sticks!

After my first venture out with walking poles my scepticism has been firmly put aside & I have to say as much as I expected to be underwhelmed I’m the complete opposite. Wasn’t keen to get poles at all but I’m just not as confident on my feet as I used to be after ligament damage so after much intensive research I opted for these & I’m so glad I did. They’re fab. The instruction leaflet is clear & comprehensive, the poles are sturdy yet light & comfortable to use. The hand straps are easy to adjust & the flip locks make changing the length of the poles very quick & simple indeed when going up & downhill if u need to. I love that they come with all the accessories you’ll need & the lightweight bag is fine for keeping everything together. I have to say it definitely feels like you’re getting more of a workout too when you’re using poles so that’s an added bonus! All in all I’m def a convert & am very happy to recommend these TrailBuddy poles…so good hubby’s considering a pair now as well!

These trekking poles are amazing quality, they saved me slipping a few times on the mountain today and also took a bit of strain off my girlfriends arthritic knees. BUT… I absolutely loved the cork grip (I have really thick skin on my hands so not a issue) but my girlfriend (who has soft sensitive skin) found the cork grip abrasive which was causing sores on her hands. We are going to buy some new grip wrap to go around the cork grip for my girlfriend, she loved the trekking poles with gloves on which isn’t ideal for a warm day having to wear gloves. these are great, but if you have soft sensitive skin make sure you take gloves or grip tape for a emergency if the cork starts to aggravate your hands or just buy a trekking pole with rubber grips instead.

Bought these because I wanted a pair of poles I could throw inside a backpack instead of having them strapped to the outside all day. That sounds like a small thing until you travel with hiking gear and realize how annoying long collapsed poles can be This compact version really solves that problem. The 17 inch packed length is probably the most impressive thing about them. I have used and looked at a lot of trekking poles and very few pack this small without turning into something flimsy or gimmicky. These still feel like real trekking poles once assembled The funny part is that I almost bought the standard TrailBuddy version since that is the more established bestseller. That one uses a simpler 3 section design and is a little lighter. But it also packs noticeably longer. For me the whole reason to buy this version was travel and backpack space so the compact design won My only real critique is that the compact size comes from using 4 sections which means there is a little more assembly and one more connection point compared with the standard 3 section version. If I were only hiking locally and never cared about packing size I would probably choose the standard model for simplicity But for travel this design makes a lot of sense. They fit where normal trekking poles usually do not. The cork grips feel good in the hand, the locks feel secure and the included tips are useful depending on the terrain Ended up liking these more than I expected because they solve a very specific problem really well. They are not just a smaller version for the sake of being smaller. The compact packing size actually changes how easy they are to travel with

Just received. First impression - Impressed. Well made, once adjusted as per instructions doesn't slip. Excellent attention to details in design and instructions. Good set of accessories (though I've ordered six pack of rubber tips along with poles as I expect to use these most). Will update once I start using them, over this weekend, hopefully.
