Revelations of Divine Love

The subject matter is life-changing, and this is simple an excellent background and introduction to Julian's (should be more-) famous writings.

This is a wonderful book and this uodated language makes it even more relevant today!

St. Julianne is a wonderful saint and so in love with the GOD of Love, JESUS Christ. You've probably heard a lot of quotes from her and didn't even know it. But this version of her best-known work is [at least for me] unreadable because it's in the original old English. I've got more than 15 books I want to read this year and so don't have either the time or the patience to translate every little phrase into modern English. Since this was a newer publication, I thought the words would be in modern English. I wish they would have made that clear in the information for this particular publication. I'd have looked for a modern version. Buyer beware.

My Parish Priest highly recommended this book saying it spoke so beautifully of the love, kindness, compassion, tenderness and mercy of God. However, I was disappointed when I found it was difficult to read and understand because of the old style of English it was written in. I left it on the table at church for someone else to try.
