Well made, sturdy and adjustable
This is a review of the Moen DN7105 Home Care Transfer Bench. This is a really well made transfer bench for the bathtub/shower. It is sturdy, offers good back support and has an adjustable & very stable base and leg system. It's quite easy to put together requiring only a phillips head screwdriver. All the screws and washers you'll need are included in the package. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together. The bench seat is 33 inches wide by 18 inches deep. The legs use push button adjusters and can be adjusted from 16.5 to 21". Generally you will have to adjust the legs inside the tub to be shorter than the pedestal leg that is outside the tub. Each of the inner legs can be adjusted individually. The legs have silicone ends on them making them resistant to slipping. This is designed to hold up to 400 pounds. The legs inside the tub splay out a bit giving this very good stability, something I was very concerned about. The bench seat is wide and has rounded end that makes transfer quite easy.In my experience installing this we ran up against a couple issues... if the bathroom is small, you may possibly have a toilet very close to the bathtub. In that case, you may find this too large to enable easy entry and exit from the bench as the person's legs may be impeded by the toilet. There is also the issue of dealing with the shower curtain. There is a definite likelihood that water will not be contained in the bathtub/shower since the bench seat extends outside of the tub. Although there is a water channel around the perimeter of the seat, it will not contain all the water. If you search on Amazon you will discover shower curtains that have a split panel that might provide a better solution. If your tub has sloping walls you may have to have this further away from the edges and/or back of the tub than you may have thought. The handle on the one side of the bench is really great for giving the person using this a solid grab point and support point as they pivot into the tub. There is also a handy little attachment that lets you park a handheld shower head for ease of use. However you may have to get a longer hose to the handheld shower if yours is short.I am very impressed with the quality and utility of this transfer bench.

expertly designed and engineered to perfection
I have never been so pleased with a purchase. The transfer bench arrived as stated and was delivered to my door. The product was securely packaged in an Amazon box with plenty of padding. The bench, a Moen product, is expertly designed and engineered to perfection. It was easy to assemble, with arthritic hands and easy to set up in the tub. My tub does not have a level bottom; as it is an older tub that is sloped downward towards the drain. This downward slope made it difficult to stabilize other transfer benches and the outside legs broke or became too wobbly to safely use. The Moen bench is designed to avoid this problem with a large adjustable stand that sits outside the tub and stabilized inner legs that provide sturdy support for a safe seated shower. I used the bench right after it was assembled and was pleased to have a safe way to enter/exit the tub and a comfortable seat while showering. I could not afford this bench earlier and bought a Drive Medical transfer bench which was a complete waste of money because it was poorly designed and very unstable. The bench actually matches the decor of my bathroom, although I did not realize this when I purchased it. I use both a transfer bench shower curtain inside the tub and a standard shower curtain with liner outside the tub. The bench allows the shower curtains to lay flat enough to allow the water to drain inside the tub and keep the floor dry. The Moen Transfer Bench is excellent. I have never been happier with a purchase. It's 2025, 8 yrs later and I have a walk-in shower, so this sits outside it as my dressing bench. Still a great buy, easy to clean and tall enough to store a laundry hamper underneath for dirty clothes/towels and a whirlpool footspa. Excellent quality benchWorth ever penny. Nine years later, I still value this purchase. It is still sturdy, easy to clean and sits comfortably. I use it as a bench outside my walk-in shower for 5.5yrs. Perfect sitting place for manicures, pedicures and moisturizing after show.

Exactly what we needed!
This bath chair is exactly what we needed. It is rated to hold over 300lbs. The design has a pedestal leg that sits outside the tub, meaning it absolutely will not tip forward or backward while I'm sitting on it. The legs adjust, so I have the 2 legs that fit inside the tub slightly shorter than the pedestal . I never feel the chair slide altho it does flex just a little (about 1/2 inch) away from the curved bottom of my tub but I can't feel it so I always feel secure. It was easy to assemble although the adjustable buttons are a bit stiff. I was able to adjust the pedestal by placing the chair in the tub, standing on the pedestal's t-shaped bottom and pulling. It's lightweight so that if I needed to remove it from the tub, it would be easy.It does take some care to keep the shower curtain arranged over the part of the chair that extends over the edge of the tub so that water doesn't get on the floor. I just arrange the bottom edge of the shower curtain folded inward, and make sure the sides are plastered against the tiled walls (by getting the tile wet and pressing the curtain onto the wet tile.)I bought a handheld shower head/hose but found that the 10 foot hose wasn't quite long enough to reach the chair's bracket. however, turns out that I can shower just fine with the handheld in the wall bracket, and using it by hand for rinsing. Buying a longer hose was not necessary.I am completely satisfied with this chair! It is everything I wanted: safe and sturdy, no tipping or sliding. My bathroom is ultra small, but I'm able to get in and out of the tub with only the assistance of a couple of suction safety handles placed on the tile walls.

a nice product -does a good job
Overall, a nice product -does a good job.The flange on the inner seat is a good feature: something to hold on to for support and balance. It comes with a removable receptor to hold a hose shower head. It's a nice idea, but it doesn't fit very firmly in it's accommodating hole and rattles around and falls out readily. As well, in my case the particular hose shower I have doesn't fit it -I think the receptor is too small- and always is popping out.The inner legs are separately adjustable with popup buttons in holes - more than one review I read before buying advised making them shorter than the outside leg. I assume that's to facilitate drainage (in any case, we did do that and it drains very well, and the seat stays as dry as you could expect). But the front inner leg of mine, as set up by my home Occupational Therapist, doesn't sync with the slope of the tub, and so the whole thing wobbles if getting in I try to support myself by grabbing and putting my weight on the gray knob that rises mushroom-like from the seat. Uncool, so I have to remember to not do that. Likewise, getting out it's fine and stable to use the mushroom until: I start to stand up and take my weight off the seat. Then it wobbles. This is the reason I've withheld the fifth star. Now, it dawns on me as I write this that maybe I can fix that by shortening the front leg one more notch. MAYBE that will make it just the right height to accommodate the slope of the tub. My prediction is that it won't, that the leg then will be too short. Also very good looking -contemporary. The only one in the numerous I looked at that had any real styling, that doesn't look institutional. One reason I bought it.So I'm quite satisfied with it.

The only shower chair you'll ever need!
This seat is exactly what we needed. My husband suffered a pretty catastrophic knee injury, followed by surgery--no way was he standing in the shower! We tried another chair first, since I'd needed to get him something right away, but it was a shoddy piece of garbage, and a leg cracked despite him being under the weight limit (it was a Carex brand, by the way--avoid). It was more of a standard chair shape too, and that was difficult for him to get onto, in the tub. After it crapped out on us, I went digging around Amazon, and found THIS fine specimen. The bench is MUCH easier to get onto if you have a tub (as opposed to a shower stall) than a standard shower chair, especially when you have a leg you can't bend. While it may sound strange, that cup holder in the back is a lifesaver--I put his shampoo bottle and soap in it, for easy access. If you have a handheld shower head, there's a clip on this chair to hold it, though the hose on ours proved to be too short to make use of it. The chair is sturdy, as well; after our experience with the first chair, I stress-tested this one before allowing him on it by bouncing around on it--it passed! It's easy to put together, and you can put the back, handle, and accessories on either side, so it's good for bath tubs facing either direction. Wish I'd just bought this one first!

Space saving, beautiful, comfortable design
Extremely stable, does not slide, rubber feet hold well. I tried 2 different bath chairs prior due to the limited narrow bathroom space (as you can see from the photo) and had to return them. This one fits mostly inside the shower a with wide foot on the outside which does not take up floor space, if I pull the curtain you canโt even tell itโs there. Itโs the perfect height I am able to slide in seated with the help of the handle. At first I showered with my surgical leg on the outside of the tub as time progressed I was then able to stand on one foot and ease my surgical left over. High weight capacity.

This is a Winner!!!
This seat is perfect in every way. I got this after a total knee replacement and have been using it for 2 weeks. My husband put it together with no tools and said it was smartly designed and constructed. I was concerned about water on the floor so I told him about advice I read on other reviews to slightly slant it so water drains to the inside of the tub. Not sure this is necessary because of the design but I wanted to be extra cautious. It's easy to get in the shower and I just pulled the shower curtain all the way closed and layed it on the edge of the seat so that you tuck it under your leg a little . No need to get a special curtain or make cuts. There was no leaking whatsoever. I'm not a petite woman (just shy of 200 lbs) so the max recommended weight was high enough that I didn't feel I was pushing the range. The surface is slightly textured so even with soap and conditioner there was no slipping. This seat has allowed me to shower by myself and feel totally safe. It doesn't fold up out of the way but that's what makes it so sturdy. There are a lot of choices and I'm so glad I chose this one and would recommend it 100%.

Sturdy and Stable
This appears to be one of the higher quality transfer benches available at Amazon. It is well worth the extra $25 or so over the metal ones. Everything on the bench seems to be have high quality materials, most importantly, the screws. Everything fits together snugly and the bench is very stable in the tub. The only issue for me was one of assembly. The directions are quite clear, so that is not the problem. It just took longer than expected and requires the bench to be laid upside down flat on a table's edge when you are putting on the set. the biggest problem I had was adjusting the legs so that the bench fit over the bathtub lip and was level (the two legs in the tub likely need to be shorter than the stand on the outside). The single leg assembly that goes on the outside of the tub requires that you push in the two adjustment "pins" on it with your two hands while you push or pull the leg assembly up or down to the right height. If only I had three hands.... The two pins are not easy to push in all the way (that's good, but makes it difficult to do) and leaves you no hands to push the leg up or down. (This is not a problem at all on the two individual legs in the tub as you only need two hands for each leg.) As it took several adjustments before I got the outside leg assembly at the right height, I was pretty worn out by the time I finished. But this assembly issue aside, we think the product is excellent and is very stable in the tub, stability being the most important variable.

*MOEN ABSOLUTELY MADE A PERFECT PRODUCT WITH THIS SHOWER BENCH!*
What a fantastic, durable, well made, and strong product! The person I purchased this for went on and on about how impressed he was! It was easy to put together. He is really looking forward to using it. It holds up to 400 pounds, which was necessary in our situation, and you can tell it is very sturdy. The handle is non slip and perfect for a person to lift themselves up and out of the tub. Only one suggestion would be if it had holes in the seat and back for the water to flow through.

Most sturdy shower bench I have tried
If you are a heavier person, this is the most sturdy shower chair you can find in my opinion. The first one I received was a little defective in which the bolt that locks in would not fully stay in and can suddenly pop in and you would drop down. I received a replacement right away and the second chair was fine. Due to its sturdiness, not as easy to move in and out of your shower.

Five Stars
It works really well. It is very stable and I feel safe on it.

Does fit with high walled tubs.
I bought this product for my elderly father to slide into my tub/shower with less risk of slipping and falling. The design is good and materials sturdy. However when I went to use it, the walls of my standard size one/piece vynal tub/shower were too high for it. The legs at full extension did not reach the ground. A dissappointment, as the main virtue of this design is that it bridges a tub wall so the user can sit down and then slide over into ths shower, lifting their legs. Otherwise a shower bench would do.
