CD operation has a sound of the disc scraping on something internal when spinning. Stops when entire unit is tilted a bit, most of the time.Sadly it was bought for the CD operation

I've had this stereo now for a few months and use it constantly. The sound quality is fine for my kitchen, family room. I've used all the features. I keep an old iPhone 4 that works fine for playing Pandora, the CD player works great, as does the USB port and the radio. I love that there are only 3 station buttons, as I usually am listening to either an oldies station or NPR radio. No fumbling to find my choice.If I could have everything I want, I'd be able to back space on the CD, as I'm trying to learn a foreign language, and the only choice the CD function gives me is to go to different tracks, but I expect that's the way all CD players are.

The picture for this item is the older version the one u recv is a newer version same features but looks a bit different 'still good quality for 20 bucks sound pretty good for what it is

I would never buy this product again. Don't usually give bad reviews but this just wrong so I need to warn others. I purchased this 3 months ago. After limited usage it stopped playing the CD. The CD spins but it shows "No" for no CD even though the CD was loaded correctly. I've tried multiple CDs all of which play in other devices. I've tried unplugging & resetting it many times to no avail.This is the second time I have purchased this model. The first CD player lasted a little more that a year before it quit playing CDs. It was out of warranty so I couldn't return it. I took a chance again buying this same model for someone who would only use it occasionally. At the price point I thought if they got a year of use out of it then ok. Man was I stupid! This time it lasted less that 3 months. Never again.

better than another brand bought years ago, this one is legit portable with option for batteries which is original reason to buy due to storm season for weather updates, can be used daily , love that it has cd player . Only wish it came in more colors . This one is silver with black trim. Function is more important to me though. Good price and reliable company.

Edit 2.23.19: unfortunately this CD player died about 6 months ago. Guess it wasn't meant to be after all.My CD player recently broke after over 5 years of regularly listening to audiobooks. I didn't have the money to afford the same stereo, and decided to go with something more cost effective if I'm going to end up burning through stereos every 5 years. This one is affordable and portable, so I can easily bring it outside with an extension cord to listen to the radio or audiobooks while relaxing or working on DIY projects. Very lightweight, loud and clear, and very small. Sturdy buttons too, compared the the old broken stereo this replaced. Great for my needs. Very happy customer. If this one dies after 5 years of listening to audiobooks 6-12 hours a day, I'll still be pleased and buy another.
